²⁸ And the angel being come in, said unto her: Hail, full of grace, the Lord is with thee: blessed art thou among women.

²⁴ Blessed among women be Jahel, the wife of Haber the Cinite, and blessed be she in her tent.

¹² The angel of the Lord appeared to him, and said: The Lord is with thee, O most valiant of men.

²⁹ Many daughters have gathered together riches: thou hast surpassed them all. ³⁰ Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: the woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised. ³¹ Give her of the fruit of her hands: and let her works praise her in the gates.

⁵ Fear not, for I am with thee: I will bring thy seed from the east, and gather thee from the west.

¹⁸ For behold I have made thee this day a fortified city, and a pillar of iron, and a wall of brass, over all the land, to the kings of Juda, to the princes thereof, and to the priests, and to the people of the land. ¹⁹ And they shall fight against them, and shall not prevail: for I am with thee, saith the Lord, to deliver thee.

²¹ As I was yet speaking in prayer, behold the man, Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, flying swiftly, touched me at the time of the evening sacrifice. ²² And he instructed me, and spoke to me, and said: O Daniel, I am now come forth to teach thee, and that thou mightest understand. ²³ From the beginning of thy prayers the word came forth: and I am come to shew it to thee, because thou art a man of desires: therefore, do thou mark the word, and understand the vision.

¹⁹ And he said: Fear not, O man of desires, peace be to thee: take courage, and be strong. And when he spoke to me, I grew strong, and I said: Speak, O my lord, for thou hast strengthened me.

⁴⁸ But he answering him that told him, said: Who is my mother, and who are my brethren?

³⁰ And the angel said to her: Fear not, Mary, for thou hast found grace with God.

⁴² And she cried out with a loud voice and said: Blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb.

²⁷ And it came to pass, as he spoke these things, a certain woman from the crowd, lifting up her voice, said to him: Blessed is the womb that bore thee and the paps that gave thee suck. ²⁸ But he said: Yea rather, blessed are they who hear the word of God and keep it.

¹⁰ Because I am with thee and no man shall set upon thee, to hurt thee. For I have much people in this city.

⁶ Unto the praise of the glory of his grace, in which he hath graced us, in his beloved son.
