¹⁹ To be offered by you: it shall be a male without blemish of the beeves, or of the sheep, or of the goats.

⁵ And it shall be a lamb without blemish, a male, of one year; according to which rite also you shall take a kid.

³ If his offering be a holocaust, and of the herd, he shall offer a male without blemish, at the door of the testimony, to make the Lord favourable to him.

¹⁰ And if the offering be of the flocks, a holocaust of sheep or of goats, he shall offer a male without blemish.

³² But if he offer of the flock a victim for his sin, to wit, an ewe without blemish:

⁴ Saying: I have sinned in betraying innocent blood. But they said: What is that to us? Look thou to it.

¹⁹ And as he was sitting in the place of judgment, his wife sent to him, saying: Have thou nothing to do with that just man; for I have suffered many things this day in a dream because of him.

²⁴ And Pilate seeing that he prevailed nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, taking water washed his hands before the people, saying: I am innocent of the blood of this just man. Look you to it.

⁴ Pilate therefore went forth again and saith to them: Behold, I bring him forth unto you, that you may know that I find no cause in him.

²¹ Him, who knew no sin, he hath made sin for us: that we might be made the justice of God in him. Sin for us... That is, to be a sin offering, a victim for sin.

²⁷ That he might present it to himself, a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

¹⁴ How much more shall the blood of Christ, who by the Holy Ghost offered himself unspotted unto God, cleanse our conscience from dead works, to serve the living God?

¹⁹ But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb unspotted and undefiled
