³⁰ He must increase: but I must decrease.

¹⁷ Let his name be blessed for evermore: his name continueth before the sun. And in him shall all the tribes of the earth be blessed: all nations shall magnify him. ¹⁸ Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, who alone doth wonderful things. ¹⁹ And blessed be the name of his majesty for ever: and the whole earth shall be filled with his majesty. So be it. So be it.

⁷ His empire shall be multiplied, and there shall be no end of peace: he shall sit upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom; to establish it and strengthen it with judgment and with justice, from henceforth and for ever: the zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this.

² And he shall grow up as a tender plant before him, and as a root out of a thirsty ground: there is no beauty in him, nor comeliness: and we have seen him, and there was no sightliness, that we should be desirous of him: ³ Despised, and the most abject of men, a man of sorrows, and acquainted with infirmity: and his look was as it were hidden and despised, whereupon we esteemed him not.

¹² Therefore will I distribute to him very many, and he shall divide the spoils of the strong, because he hath delivered his soul unto death, and was reputed with the wicked: and he hath borne the sins of many, and hath prayed for the transgressors.

³⁴ Thus thou sawest, till a stone was cut out of a mountain without hands: and it struck the statue upon the feet thereof that were of iron and clay, and broke them in pieces. ³⁵ Then was the iron, the clay, the brass, the silver, and the gold broken to pieces together, and became like the chaff of a summer's threshing floor, and they were carried away by the wind: and there was no place found for them: but the stone that struck the statue became a great mountain, and filled the whole earth.

⁴⁴ But in the days of those kingdoms, the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that shall never by destroyed, and his kingdom shall not be delivered up to another people: and it shall break in pieces, and shall consume all these kingdoms: and itself shall stand for ever. ⁴⁵ According as thou sawest, that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands, and broke in pieces the clay and the iron, and the brass, and the silver, and the gold, the great God hath shewn the king what shall come to pass hereafter, and the dream is true, and the interpretation thereof is faithful.

³¹ Another parable he proposed unto them, saying: The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took and sowed in his field. ³² Which is the least indeed of all seeds; but when it is grown up, it is greater than all herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come, and dwell in the branches thereof. ³³ Another parable he spoke to them: The kingdom of heaven is like to leaven, which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal, until the whole was leavened.

³⁶ For David, when he had served in his generation, according to the will of God, slept: and was laid unto his fathers and saw corruption. ³⁷ But he whom God hath raised from the dead saw no corruption.

⁵ The ministers of him whom you have believed: and to every one as the Lord hath given.

⁷ Now if the ministration of death, engraven with letters upon stones, was glorious (so that the children of Israel could not steadfastly behold the face of Moses, for the glory of his countenance), which is made void: ⁸ How shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather in glory? ⁹ For if the ministration of condemnation be glory, much more the ministration of justice aboundeth in glory. ¹⁰ For even that which was glorious in this part was not glorified by reason of the glory that excelleth. ¹¹ For if that which is done away was glorious, much more that which remaineth is in glory.

¹⁸ And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that in all things he may hold the primacy:

² Who is faithful to him that made him, as was also Moses in all his house. ³ For this man was counted worthy of greater glory than Moses, by so much as he that hath built the house hath greater honour than the house. ⁴ For every house is built by some man: but he that created all things is God. ⁵ And Moses indeed was faithful in all his house as a servant, for a testimony of those things which were to be said: ⁶ But Christ, as the Son in his own house: which house are we, if we hold fast the confidence and glory of hope unto the end.

¹⁵ And the seventh angel sounded the trumpet: and there were great voices in heaven, saying: The kingdom of this world is become our Lord's and his Christ's, and he shall reign for ever and ever. Amen.
