⁷ If you had known me, you would without doubt have known my Father also: and from henceforth you shall know him. And you have seen him.

²⁷ All things are delivered to me by my Father. And no one knoweth the Son but the Father: neither doth any one know the Father, but the Son, and he to whom it shall please the Son to reveal him.

¹⁸ No man hath seen God at any time: the only begotten Son who is in the Bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.

How sayest thou: Shew us the Father? ¹⁰ Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father in me? The words that I speak to you, I speak not of myself. But the Father who abideth in me, he doth the works.

¹⁶ And I will ask the Father: and he shall give you another Paraclete, that he may abide with you for ever: ¹⁷ The spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, nor knoweth him. But you shall know him; because he shall abide with you and shall be in you. ¹⁸ I will not leave you orphans: I will come to you. ¹⁹ Yet a little while and the world seeth me no more. But you see me: because I live, and you shall live. ²⁰ In that day you shall know that I am in my Father: and you in me, and I in you.

²⁴ If I had not done among them the works that no other man hath done, they would not have sin: but now they have both seen and hated both me and my Father.

³ And these things will they do to you; because they have not known the Father nor me.

¹³ But when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will teach you all truth. For he shall not speak of himself: but what things soever he shall hear, he shall speak. And the things that are to come, he shall shew you. ¹⁴ He shall glorify me: because he shall receive of mine and shall shew it to you. ¹⁵ All things whatsoever the Father hath are mine. Therefore I said that he shall receive of me and shew it to you. ¹⁶ A little while, and now you shall not see me: and again a little while, and you shall see me: because I go to the Father.

³ Now this is eternal life: That they may know thee, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

⁶ I have manifested thy name to the men whom thou hast given me out of the world. Thine they were: and to me thou gavest them. And they have kept thy word.

⁸ Because the words which thou gavest me, I have given to them. And they have received them and have known in very deed that I came out from thee: and they have believed that thou didst send me.

²¹ That they all may be one, as thou, Father, in me, and I in thee; that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.

²³ I in them, and thou in me: that they may be made perfect in one: and the world may know that thou hast sent me and hast loved them, as thou hast also loved me.

²⁶ And I have made known thy name to them and will make it known: that the love wherewith thou hast loved me may be in them, and I in them.

⁶ For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God, in the face of Christ Jesus.

¹⁵ Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: ¹⁶ For in him were all things created in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones, or dominations, or principalities, or powers. All things were created by him and in him. ¹⁷ And he is before all: and by him all things consist.

² That their hearts may be comforted, being instructed in charity and unto all riches of fulness of understanding, unto the knowledge of the mystery of God the Father and of Christ Jesus: ³ In whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.

³ Who being the brightness of his glory and the figure of his substance and upholding all things by the word of his power, making purgation of sins, sitteth on the right hand of the majesty on high:

¹³ I write unto you, fathers, because you have known him who is from the beginning. I write unto you, young men, because you have overcome the wicked one.
