⁴⁶ I am come, a light into the world, that whosoever believeth in me may not remain in darkness.

These things Jesus spoke: and he went away and hid himself from them.

¹⁸ To open their eyes, that they may be converted from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a lot among the saints, by the faith that is in me.

¹⁴ Wherefore he saith: Rise, thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead: and Christ shall enlighten thee.

⁸ Again a new commandment I write unto you: which thing is true both in him and in you, because the darkness is passed and the true light now shineth. ⁹ He that saith he is in the light and hateth his brother is in darkness even until now.
