¹⁰ He hath set bounds about the waters, till light and darkness come to an end.

²² All the days of the earth, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, night and day, shall not cease.

⁸ Who shut up the sea with doors, when it broke forth as issuing out of the womb: ⁹ When I made a cloud the garment thereof, and wrapped it in a mist as in swaddling bands? ¹⁰ I set my bounds around it, and made it bars and doors: ¹¹ And I said: Hitherto thou shalt come, and shalt go no further, and here thou shalt break thy swelling waves.

⁷ Gathering together the waters of the sea, as in a vessel; laying up the depths in storehouses.

⁶ The deep like a garment is its clothing: above the mountains shall the waters stand. ⁷ At thy rebuke they shall flee: at the voice of thy thunder they shall fear. ⁸ The mountains ascend, and the plains descend into the place which thou hast founded for them. ⁹ Thou hast set a bound which they shall not pass over; neither shall they return to cover the earth.

²⁹ When he compassed the sea with its bounds, and set a law to the waters that they should not pass their limits: when he balanced the foundations of the earth;

⁹ This thing is to me as in the days of Noe, to whom I swore, that I would no more bring in the waters of Noe upon the earth: so have I sworn not to be angry with thee, and not to rebuke thee. ¹⁰ For the mountains shall be moved, and the hills shall tremble; but my mercy shall not depart from thee, and the covenant of my peace shall not be moved: said the Lord that hath mercy on thee.

²² Will not you then fear me, saith the Lord: and will you not repent at my presence? I have set the sand a bound for the sea, an everlasting ordinance, which it shall not pass over: and the waves thereof shall toss themselves, and shall not prevail: they shall swell, and shall not pass over it.
