¹⁷ Fear, and the pit, and the snare are upon thee, O thou inhabitant of the earth.

²¹ If you walk contrary to me, and will not hearken to me, I will bring seven times more plagues upon you for your sins. ²² And I will send in upon you the beasts of the field, to destroy you and your cattle, and make you few in number: and that your highways may be desolate.

¹⁷ And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall escape the sword of Hazael, shall be slain by Jehu: and whosoever shall escape the sword of Jehu, shall be slain by Eliseus.

³ And death shall be chosen rather than life by all that shall remain of this wicked kindred in all places, which are left, to which I have cast them out, saith the Lord of hosts.
