¹⁶ My beloved to me, and I to him who feedeth among the lilies,

⁵ One shall say: I am the Lord's, and another shall call himself by the name of Jacob, and another shall subscribe with his hand, To the Lord, and surname himself by the name of Israel.

¹⁹ O Lord, my might, and my strength, and my refuge in the day of tribulation: to thee the Gentiles shall come from the ends of the earth, and shall say: Surely our fathers have possessed lies, a vanity which hath not profited them.

²⁷ Behold the days come, saith the Lord: and I will sow the house of Israel and the house of Juda with the seed of men, and with the seed of beasts.

³⁸ And they shall be my people, and I will be their God.

⁶ And she conceived again, and bore a daughter, and he said to him: Call her name, Without mercy: for I will not add any more to have mercy on the house of Israel, but I will utterly forget them.

⁹ And he said: Call his name, Not my people: for you are not my people, and I will not be yours. ¹⁰ And the number of the children of Israel shall be as the sand of the sea, that is without measure, and shall not be numbered. And it shall be in the place where it shall be said to them: You are not my people: it shall be said to them: Ye are the sons of the living God.

² They shall call upon me: O my God, we, Israel, know thee.

¹¹ And many nations shall be joined to the Lord in that day, and they shall be my people, and I will dwell in the midst of thee: and thou shalt know that the Lord of hosts hath sent me to thee.

²² And many peoples, and strong nations shall come to seek the Lord of hosts in Jerusalem, and to entreat the face of the Lord. ²³ Thus saith the Lord of hosts: In those days, wherein ten men of all languages of the Gentiles shall take hold, and shall hold fast the skirt of one that is a Jew, saying: We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with you.

⁹ And I will sow them among peoples: and from afar they shall remember me: and they shall live with their children, and shall return.

⁹ And I will bring the third part through the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined: and I will try them as gold is tried. They shall call on my name, and I will hear them. I will say: Thou art my people: and they shall say: The Lord is my God.

⁹ And the Lord shall be king over all the earth: in that day there shall be one Lord, and his name shall be one.

¹⁶ And all they that shall be left of all nations that came against Jerusalem, shall go up from year to year, to adore the King, the Lord of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.

¹¹ For from the rising of the sun even to the going down, my name is great among the Gentiles, and in every place there is sacrifice, and there is offered to my name a clean oblation: for my name is great among the Gentiles, saith the Lord of hosts.

¹ And at that time, there was raised a great persecution against the church which was at Jerusalem. And they were all dispersed through the countries of Judea, and Samaria, except the apostles. ² And devout men took order for Stephen's funeral and made great mourning over him. ³ But Saul made havock of the church, entering in from house to house: and dragging away men and women, committed them to prison. ⁴ They therefore that were dispersed went about preaching the word of God.

²⁹ Is he the God of the Jews only? Is he not also of the Gentiles? yes, of the Gentiles also.

²⁵ As in Osee he saith: I will call that which was not my people, my people; and her that was not beloved, beloved; and her that had not obtained mercy; one that hath obtained mercy. ²⁶ And it shalt be in the place where it was said unto them: you are not my people; there they shall be called the sons of the living God.

³⁰ For as you also in times past did not believe God, but now have obtained mercy, through their unbelief: ³¹ So these also now have not believed, for your mercy, that they also may obtain mercy. ³² For God hath concluded all in unbelief, that he may have mercy on all.

⁹ But that the Gentiles are to glorify God for his mercy, as it is written: Therefore will I confess to thee, O Lord, among the Gentiles and will sing to thy name. ¹⁰ And again he saith: rejoice ye Gentiles, with his people. ¹¹ And again: praise the Lord, all ye Gentiles: and magnify him, all ye people.

⁹ For they themselves relate of us, what manner of entering in we had unto you: and how you turned to God from idols to serve the living and true God. ¹⁰ And to wait for his Son from heaven (whom he raised up from the dead), Jesus, who hath delivered us from the wrath to come.

⁹ But you are a chosen generation, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a purchased people: that you may declare his virtues, who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light: ¹⁰ Who in times past were not a people: but are now the people of God. Who had not obtained mercy: but now have obtained mercy.

³ And I heard a great voice from the throne, saying: Behold the tabernacle of God with men: and he will dwell with them. And they shall be his people: and God himself with them shall be their God. ⁴ And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes: and death shall be no more. Nor mourning, nor crying, nor sorrow shall be any more, for the former things are passed away.
