³ And after the second veil, the tabernacle which is called the Holy of Holies:

³¹ Thou shalt make also a veil of violet, and purple, and scarlet twice dyed, and fine twisted linen, wrought with embroidered work and goodly variety: ³² And thou shalt hang it up before four pillars of setim wood, which themselves also shall be overlaid with gold, and shall have heads of gold, but sockets of silver. ³³ And the veil shall be hanged on with rings, and within it thou shalt put the ark of the testimony, and the sanctuary and the holy of the holies shall be divided with it.

³⁵ He made also a veil of violet, and purple, scarlet and fine twisted linen, varied and distinguished with embroidery: ³⁶ And four pillars of setim wood, which with their heads he overlaid with gold, casting for them sockets of silver. ³⁷ He made also a hanging in the entry of the tabernacle of violet, purple, scarlet, and fine twisted linen, with the work of an embroiderer. ³⁸ And five pillars with their heads, which he covered with gold, and their sockets he cast of brass.

³ And shalt put the ark in it, and shalt let down the veil before it:

⁶ And tbe priests brought in the ark of the covenant of the Lord into its place, into the oracle of the temple, into the holy of holies, under the wings of the cherubims.

¹⁴ He made also a veil of violet, purple, scarlet, and silk: and wrought in it cherubims.

⁷ And he shall destroy in this mountain the face of the bond with which all people were tied, and the web that he began over all nations.

⁵¹ And behold the veil of the temple was rent in two from the top even to the bottom: and the earth quaked and the rocks were rent.

¹⁹ Which we have as an anchor of the soul, sure and firm, and which entereth in even within the veil:

⁸ The Holy Ghost signifying this: That the way into the Holies was not yet made manifest, whilst the former tabernacle was yet standing.

¹⁹ Having therefore, brethren, a confidence in the entering into the holies by the blood of Christ: ²⁰ A new and living way which he hath dedicated for us through the veil, that is to say, his flesh:
