⁴ I will destroy thy cities, and thou shalt be desolate: and thou shalt know that I am the Lord.

¹⁴ For I will at this time send all my plagues upon thy heart, and upon thy servants, and upon thy people; that thou mayst know that there is none like me in all the earth.

⁴ And I shall harden his heart and he will pursue you: and I shall be glorified in Pharao, and in all his army: and the Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord. And they did so.

⁶ In all your dwelling places. The cities shall be laid waste, and the high places shall be thrown down, and destroyed, and your altars shall be abolished, and shall be broken in pieces: and your idols shall be no more, and your temples shall be destroyed, and your works shall be defaced. ⁷ And the slain shall fall in the midst of you: and you shall know that I am the Lord.

⁹ I will make thee everlasting desolations, and thy cities shall not be inhabited: and thou shalt know that I am the Lord God.

¹² And thou shalt know that I the Lord have heard all thy reproaches, that thou hast spoken against the mountains of Israel, saying. They are desolate, they are given to us to consume.

¹⁹ Egypt shall be a desolation, and Edom a wilderness destroyed: because they have done unjustly against the children of Juda, and have shed innocent blood in their land.

³ But have hated Esau? and I have made his mountains a wilderness, and given his inheritance to the dragons of the desert. ⁴ But if Edom shall say: We are destroyed, but we will return and build up what hath been destroyed: thus saith the Lord of hosts: They shall build up, and I will throw down: and they shall be called the borders of wickedness, and the people with whom the Lord is angry for ever.
