⁶ Every one had four faces, and every one four wings.

²⁰ Let them cover both sides of the propitiatory, spreading their wings, and covering the oracle, and let them look one towards the other, their faces being turned towards the propitiatory wherewith the ark is to to be covered.

²⁴ One wing of the cherub was five cubits, and the other wing of the cherub was five cubits: that is, in all ten cubits, from the extremity of one wing to the extremity of the other wing. ²⁵ The second cherub also was ten cubits: and the measure, and the work was the same in both the cherubims: ²⁶ That is to say, one cherub was ten cubits high, and in like manner the other cherub. ²⁷ And he set the cherubims in the midst of the inner temple: and the cherubims stretched forth their wings, and the wing of the one touched one wall, and the wing of the other cherub touched the other wall: and the other wings in the midst of the temple touched one another.

² Upon it stood the seraphims: the one had six wings, and the other had six wings: with two they covered his face, and with two they covered his feet, and with two they flew.

⁸ And they had the hands of a man under their wings on their four sides: and they had faces, and wings on the four sides, ⁹ And the wings of one were joined to the wings of another. They turned not when they went: but every one went straight forward. ¹⁰ And as for the likeness of their faces: there was the face of a man, and the face of a lion on the right side of all the four: and the face of an ox, on the left side of all the four: and the face of an eagle over all the four. ¹¹ And their faces, and their wings were stretched upward: two wings of every one were joined, and two covered their bodies:

¹⁵ Now as I beheld the living creatures, there appeared upon the earth by the living creatures one wheel with four faces.

¹⁰ And as to their appearance, all four were alike: as if a wheel were in the midst of a wheel.

¹⁴ And every one had four faces: one face was the face of a cherub, and the second face, the face of a man: and in the third was the face of a lion: and in the fourth the face of an eagle.

²¹ Each one had four faces, and each one had four wings: and the likeness of a man's hand was under their wings. ²² And as to the likeness of their faces, they were the same faces which I had seen by the river Chobar, and their looks, and the impulse of every one to go straight forward.

⁷ And the first living creature was like a lion: and the second living creature like a calf: and the third living creature, having the face, as it were, of a man: and the fourth living creature was like an eagle flying. ⁸ And the four living creatures had each of them six wings: and round about and within they are full of eyes. And they rested not day and night, saying: Holy, Holy, Holy, Lord God Almighty, who was and who is and who is to come.
