¹⁰ And thou shalt celebrate the festival of weeks to the Lord thy God, a voluntary oblation of thy hand, which thou shalt offer according to the blessing of the Lord thy God.

⁷ But if he be not able to offer a beast, let him offer two turtles, or two young pigeons to the Lord, one for sin, and the other for a holocaust,

⁸ And if her hand find not sufficiency, and she is not able to offer a lamb, she shall take two turtles, or two young pigeons, one for a holocaust, and another for sin: and the priest shall pray for her, and so she shall be cleansed.

²⁶ But if he have no kinsman, and he himself can find the price to redeem it:

²⁸ And thou shalt separate a portion to the Lord from them that fought and were in the battle, one soul of five hundred as well of persons as of oxen and asses and sheep.

³⁷ Out of which, for the portion of the Lord, were reckoned six hundred seventy five sheep.

¹⁶ Three times in a year shall all thy males appear before the Lord thy God in the place which he shall choose: in the feast of unleavened bread, in the feast of weeks, and in the feast of tabernacles. No one shall appear with his hands empty before the Lord: ¹⁷ But every one shall offer according to what he hath, according to the blessing of the Lord his God, which he shall give him.

⁹ Honour the Lord with thy substance, and give him of the first of all thy fruits; ¹⁰ And thy barns shall be filled with abundance, and thy presses shall run over with wine.

²² The blessing of the Lord maketh men rich: neither shall affliction be joined to them.

¹⁴ Who knoweth but he will return, and forgive, and leave a blessing behind him, sacrifice and libation to the Lord your God? ^{15 (2:16)} And now consider in your hearts, from this day and upward, before there was a stone laid upon a stone in the temple of the Lord. ^{16 (2:17)} When you went to a heap of twenty bushels, and they became ten: and you went into the press, to press out fifty vessels, and they became twenty. ^{17 (2:18)} I struck you with a blasting wind, and all the works of your hand with the mildew and with hail, yet there was none among you that returned to me, saith the Lord. ^{18 (2:19)} Set your hearts from this day, and henceforward, from the four and twentieth day of the ninth month: from the day that the foundations of the temple of the Lord were laid, and lay it up in your hearts. ^{19 (2:20)} Is the seed as yet sprung up? or hath the vine, and the fig tree, and the pomegranate, and the olive tree as yet flourished? from this day I will bless you.

¹⁰ Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in my house, and try me in this, saith the Lord: if I open not unto you the flood-gates of heaven, and pour you out a blessing even to abundance. ¹¹ And I will rebuke for your sakes the devourer, and he shall not spoil the fruit of your land: neither shall the vine in the field be barren, saith the Lord of hosts.

² On the first day of the week, let every one of you put apart with himself, laying up what it shall well please him: that when I come, the collections be not then to be made.

¹⁰ And herein I give my advice: for this is profitable for you who have begun not only to do but also to be willing, a year ago.

¹² For if the will be forward, it is accepted according to that which a man hath: not according to that which he hath not.

⁵ Therefore I thought it necessary to desire the brethren that they would go to you before and prepare this blessing before promised, to be ready, so as a blessing, not as covetousness. ⁶ Now this I say: He who soweth sparingly shall also reap sparingly: and he who soweth in blessings shall also reap blessings. ⁷ Every one as he hath determined in his heart, not with sadness or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver. ⁸ And God is able to make all grace abound in you: that ye always, having all sufficiently in all things, may abound to every good work, ⁹ As it is written: He hath dispersed abroad, he hath given to the poor: his justice remaineth for ever. ¹⁰ And he that ministereth seed to the sower will both give you bread to eat and will multiply your seed and increase the growth of the fruits of your justice: ¹¹ That being enriched in all things, you may abound unto all simplicity which worketh through us thanksgiving to God.
