⁶ And I said to the man that was clothed in linen, that stood upon the waters of the river: How long shall it be to the end of these wonders?

⁹ Our signs we have not seen, there is now no prophet: and he will know us no more.

² And behold six men came from the way of the upper gate, which looketh to the north: and each one had his weapon of destruction in his hand: and there was one man in the midst of them clothed with linen, with a writer's inkhorn at his reins: and they went in, and stood by the brazen altar.

¹³ And I heard one of the saints speaking, and one saint said to another I know not to whom, that was speaking: How long shall be the vision, concerning the continual sacrifice, and the sin of the desolation that is made: and the sanctuary, and the strength be trodden under foot?

¹⁶ And I heard the voice of a man between Ulai: and he called, and said: Gabriel, make this man to understand the vision.

⁵ And I lifted up my eyes, and I saw: and behold a man clothed in linen, and his loins were girded with the finest gold: ⁶ And his body was like the chrysolite, and his face as the appearance of lightning, and his eyes as a burning lamp: and his arms, and all downward even to the feet, like in appearance to glittering brass: and the voice of his word like the voice of a multitude.

¹² And the angel of the Lord answered, and said: O Lord of hosts, how long wilt thou not have mercy on Jerusalem, and on the cities of Juda, with which thou hast been angry? this is now the seventieth year. ¹³ And the Lord answered the angel, that spoke in me, good words, comfortable words.

¹⁰ That the manifold wisdom of God may be made known to the principalities and powers in heavenly places through the church,

¹² To whom it was revealed that, not to themselves but to you, they ministered those things which are now declared to you by them that have preached the gospel to you: the Holy Ghost being sent down from heaven, on whom the angels desire to look.

¹⁰ And they cried with a loud voice, saying: How long, O Lord (Holy and True), dost thou not judge and revenge our blood on them that dwell on the earth?

² And he had in his hand a little book, open. And he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left foot upon the earth. ³ And he cried with a loud voice as when a lion roareth. And when he had cried, seven thunders uttered their voices. ⁴ And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write. And I heard a voice from heaven saying to me: Seal up the things which the seven thunders have spoken. And write them not. ⁵ And the angel whom I saw standing upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven.

⁶ And the seven angels came out of the temple, having the seven plagues, clothed with clean and white linen and girt about the breasts with golden girdles.

¹⁴ And the armies that are in heaven followed him on white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
