¹² Buried with him in baptism: in whom also you are risen again by the faith of the operation of God who hath raised him up from the dead.

⁵ And the apostles said to the Lord: Increase our faith.

¹² But as many as received him, he gave them power to be made the sons of God, to them that believe in his name. ¹³ Who are born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

³ Jesus answered and said to him: Amen, amen, I say to thee, unless a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. ⁴ Nicodemus saith to him: How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born again? ⁵ Jesus answered: Amen, amen, I say to thee, unless a man be born again of water and the Holy Ghost, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. ⁶ That which is born of the flesh is flesh: and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. ⁷ Wonder not that I said to thee: You must be born again.

²⁴ Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the sorrows of hell, as it was impossible that he should be holden by it.

²⁴ But also for us, to whom it shall be reputed, if we believe in him that raised up Jesus Christ, our Lord, from the dead,

³ Know you not that all we who are baptized in Christ Jesus are baptized in his death? ⁴ For we are buried together with him by baptism into death: that, as Christ is risen from the dead by the glory of the Father, so we also may walk in newness of life. ⁵ For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection.

⁸ Now, if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall live also together with Christ. ⁹ Knowing that Christ, rising again from the dead, dieth now no more. Death shall no more have dominion over him. ¹⁰ For in that he died to sin, he died once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God. ¹¹ So do you also reckon that you are dead to sin, but alive unto God, in Christ Jesus our Lord.

⁴ Therefore, my brethren, you also are become dead to the law, by the body of Christ: that you may belong to another, who is risen again from the dead that we may bring forth fruit to God.

¹³ For in one Spirit were we all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Gentiles, whether bond or free: and in one Spirit we have all been made to drink.

²⁰ But now Christ is risen from the dead, the firstfruits of them that sleep:

²⁷ For as many of you as have been baptized in Christ have put on Christ.

¹⁹ And what is the exceeding greatness of his power towards us, who believe according to the operation of the might of his power, ²⁰ Which he wrought in Christ, raising him up from the dead and setting him on his right hand in the heavenly places.

⁴ But God (who is rich in mercy) for his exceeding charity wherewith he loved us ⁵ Even when we were dead in sins, hath quickened us together in Christ (by whose grace you are saved) ⁶ And hath raised us up together and hath made us sit together in the heavenly places, through Christ Jesus.

⁸ For by grace you are saved through faith: and that not of yourselves, for it is the gift of God.

⁷ Of which I am made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God, which is given to me according to the operation of his power.

¹⁷ That Christ may dwell by faith in your hearts: that, being rooted and founded in charity,

⁵ One Lord, one faith, one baptism.

¹⁴ Wherefore he saith: Rise, thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead: and Christ shall enlighten thee.

²⁹ For unto you it is given for Christ, not only to believe in him, but also to suffer for him:

¹ Therefore if you be risen with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is sitting at the right hand of God. ² Mind the things that are above, not the things that are upon the earth.

⁵ Not by the works of justice which we have done, but according to his mercy, he saved us, by the laver of regeneration and renovation of the Holy Ghost. ⁶ Whom he hath poured forth upon us abundantly, through Jesus Christ our Saviour:

² Of the doctrine of baptisms and imposition of hands, and of the resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.

² Looking on Jesus, the author and finisher of faith, who, having joy set before him, endured the cross, despising the shame, and now sitteth on the right hand of the throne of God.

²⁰ And may the God of peace, who brought again from the dead the great pastor of the sheep, our Lord Jesus Christ, in the blood of the everlasting testament, ²¹ Fit you in all goodness, that you may do his will; doing in you that which is well pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom is glory for ever and ever. Amen.

¹⁶ Do not err, therefore, my dearest brethren. ¹⁷ Every best gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no change nor shadow of alteration.

²¹ Whereunto baptism, being of the like form, now saveth you also: not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but, the examination of a good conscience towards God by the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

¹ Christ therefore having suffered in the flesh, be you also armed with the same thought: for he that hath suffered in the flesh hath ceased from sins: ² That now he may live the rest of his time in the flesh, not after the desires of men but according to the will of God. ³ For the time past is sufficient to have fulfilled the will of the Gentiles, for them who have walked in riotousness, lusts, excess of wine, revellings, banquetings and unlawful worshipping of idols.
