² Pass ye over to Chalane, and see, and go from thence into Emath the great: and go down into Geth of the Philistines, and to all the best kingdoms of these: if their border be larger than your border.

¹⁰ And the beginning of his kingdom was Babylon, and Arach, and Achad, and Chalanne in the land of Sennaar.

⁶ Moreover he went forth and fought against the Philistines, and broke down the wall of Geth, and the wall of Jabnia, and the wall of Azotus: and he built towns in Azotus, and among the Philistines.

⁹ Are not my princes as so many kings? is not Calano as Charcamis: and Emath as Arphad? is not Samaria as Damascus? ¹⁰ As my hand hath found the kingdoms of the idol, so also their idols of Jerusalem, and of Samaria. ¹¹ Shall I not, as I have done to Samaria and her idols, so do to Jerusalem and her idols?

¹² Have the gods of the nations delivered them whom my fathers have destroyed, Gozam, and Haram, and Reseph, and the children of Eden, that were in Thalassar? ¹³ Where is the king of Emath, and the king of Arphad, and the king of the city of Sepharvaim, of Ana, and of Ava?

¹⁰ Pass over to the isles of Cethim, and see: and send into Cedar, and consider diligently: and see if there hath been done any thing like this. ¹¹ If a nation hath changed their gods, and indeed they are not gods: but my people have changed their glory into an idol.
