⁴ And some of them believed and were associated to Paul and Silas: and of those that served God and of the Gentiles a great multitude: and of noble women not a few.

⁶ Forsake childishness, and live, and walk by the ways of prudence.

²⁰ He that walketh with the wise, shall be wise: a friend of fools shall become like to them.

¹¹ And many nations shall be joined to the Lord in that day, and they shall be my people, and I will dwell in the midst of thee: and thou shalt know that the Lord of hosts hath sent me to thee.

²⁰ Thus saith the Lord of hosts, until people come and dwell in many cities, ²¹ And the inhabitants go one to another, saying: Let us go, and entreat the face of the Lord, and let us seek the Lord of hosts: I also will go. ²² And many peoples, and strong nations shall come to seek the Lord of hosts in Jerusalem, and to entreat the face of the Lord. ²³ Thus saith the Lord of hosts: In those days, wherein ten men of all languages of the Gentiles shall take hold, and shall hold fast the skirt of one that is a Jew, saying: We will go with you: for we have heard that God is with you.

³⁵ The Jews therefore said among themselves: Whither will he go, that we shall not find him? Will he go unto the dispersed among the Gentiles and teach the Gentiles?

⁴¹ They therefore that received his word were baptized: and there were added in that day about three thousand souls. ⁴² And they were persevering in the doctrine of the apostles and in the communication of the breaking of bread and in prayers.

⁴⁴ And all they that believed were together and had all things common.

²³ And being let go, they came to their own company and related all that the chief priests and ancients had said to them.

¹² And by the hands of the apostles were many signs and wonders wrought among the people. And they were all with one accord in Solomon's porch. ¹³ But of the rest no man durst join himself unto them: but the people magnified them. ¹⁴ And the multitude of men and women who believed in the Lord was more increased:

⁴³ And when the synagogue was broken up, many of the Jews and of the strangers who served God followed Paul and Barnabas: who, speaking to them, persuaded them to continue in the grace of God.

⁵⁰ But the Jews stirred up religious and honourable women and the chief men of the city: and raised persecution against Paul and Barnabas: and cast them out of their coasts.

¹ And it came to pass in Iconium that they entered together into the synagogue of the Jews and so spoke that a very great multitude both of the Jews and of the Greeks did believe.

⁴ And the multitude of the city was divided. And some of them indeed held with the Jews, but some with the apostles.

²² Then it pleased the apostles and ancients, with the whole church, to choose men of their own company and to send to Antioch with Paul and Barnabas, namely, Judas, who was surnamed Barsabas, and Silas, chief men among the brethren.

²⁷ We have sent therefore Judas and Silas, who themselves also will, by word of mouth, tell you the same things.

³² But Judas and Silas, being prophets also themselves, with many words comforted the brethren and confirmed them.

⁴⁰ But Paul, choosing Silas, departed, being delivered by the brethren to the grace of God.

³ Him Paul would have to go along with him: and taking him, he circumcised him, because of the Jews who were in those places. For they all knew that his father was a Gentile.

¹² And many indeed of them believed: and of honourable women that were Gentiles and of men, not a few.

¹⁷ He disputed, therefore, in the synagogue with the Jews and with them that served God: and in the market place, every day, with them that were there.

³⁴ But certain men, adhering to him, did believe: among whom was also Dionysius the Areopagite and a woman named Damaris and others with them.

⁴ And he reasoned in the synagogue every sabbath, bringing in the name of the Lord Jesus. And he persuaded the Jews and the Greeks.

¹⁰ And this continued for the space of two years, so that all who dwelt in Asia heard the word of the Lord, both Jews and Gentiles.

²⁸ Men of Israel, help: This is the man that teacheth all men every where against the people and the law and this place; and moreover hath brought in Gentiles into the temple and hath violated this holy place.

²⁴ And some believed the things that were said: but some believed not.

¹⁷ Wherefore: Go out from among them and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing: ¹⁸ And I will receive you. And will be a Father to you: and you shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

⁵ And not as we hoped: but they gave their own selves, first to the Lord, then to us by the will of God;
