^{17 (4:16)} Then we who are alive, who are left, shall be taken up together with them in the clouds to meet Christ, into the air: and so shall we be always with the Lord.

¹² And when I am gone from thee, the Spirit of the Lord will carry thee into a place that I know not: and I shall go in and tell Achab; and he, not finding thee, will kill me: but thy servant feareth the Lord from his infancy.

¹¹ And as they went on, walking and talking together, behold, a fiery chariot and fiery horses parted them both asunder: and Elias went up by a whirlwind into heaven.

¹⁶ And they said to him: Behold, there are with thy servants, fifty strong men, that can go, and seek thy master, lest, perhaps, the spirit of the Lord, hath taken him up and cast him upon some monntain, or into some valley. And he said: Do not send.

¹¹ Thou hast made known to me the ways of life, thou shalt fill me with joy with thy countenance: at thy right hand are delights even to the end.

¹⁵ But as for me, I will appear before thy sight in justice: I shall be satisfied when thy glory shall appear.

²⁴ Thou hast held me by my right hand; and by thy will thou hast conducted me, and with thy glory thou hast received me.

¹⁰ And the redeemed of the Lord shall return, and shall come into Sion with praise, and everlasting joy shall be upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and mourning shall flee away.

¹⁹ Thou shalt no more have the sun for thy light by day, neither shall the brightness of the moon enlighten thee: but the Lord shall be unto thee for an everlasting light, and thy God for thy glory. ²⁰ Thy sun shall go down no more, and thy moon shall not decrease: for the Lord shall be unto thee for an everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended.

¹³ I beheld, therefore, in the vision of the night, and lo, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven, and he came even to the ancient of days: and they presented him before him.

⁶⁴ Jesus saith to him: Thou hast said it. Nevertheless I say to you, hereafter you shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of the power of God and coming in the clouds of heaven.

⁶² And Jesus said to him: I am. And you shall see the Son of man sitting on the right hand of the power of God and coming with the clouds of heaven.

²⁶ If any man minister to me, let him follow me: and where I am, there also shall my minister be. If any man minister to me, him will my Father honour.

³ And if I shall go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself: that where I am, you also may be.

²⁴ Father, I will that where I am, they also whom thou hast given me may be with me: that they may see my glory which thou hast given me, because thou hast loved me before the creation of the world.

⁹ And when he had said these things, while they looked on, he was raised up: and a cloud received him out of their sight.

³⁹ And when they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord took away Philip: and the eunuch saw him no more. And he went on his way rejoicing.

⁵² In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet: for the trumpet shall sound and the dead shall rise again incorruptible. And we shall be changed.

⁸ But we are confident and have a good will to be absent rather from the body and to be present with the Lord.

² I know a man in Christ: above fourteen years ago (whether in the body, I know not, or out of the body, I know not: God knoweth), such a one caught up to the third heaven. ³ And I know such a man (whether in the body, or out of the body, I know not: God knoweth): ⁴ That he was caught up into paradise and heard secret words which it is not granted to man to utter.

²³ But I am straitened between two: having a desire to be dissolved and to be with Christ, a thing by far the better.

^{15 (4:14)} For this we say unto you in the word of the Lord, that we who are alive, who remain unto the coming of the Lord, shall not prevent them who have slept.

¹³ But we look for new heavens and a new earth according to his promises, in which justice dwelleth.

⁷ Behold, he cometh with the clouds, and every eye shall see him: and they also that pierced him. And all the tribes of the earth shall bewail themselves because of him. Even so. Amen.

¹⁴ And I said to him: My Lord, thou knowest. And he said to me: These are they who are come out of great tribulation and have washed their robes and have made them white in the blood of the Lamb. ¹⁵ Therefore, they are before the throne of God: and they serve him day and night in his temple. And he that sitteth on the throne shall dwell over them. ¹⁶ They shall no more hunger nor thirst: neither shall the sun fall on them, nor any heat. ¹⁷ For the Lamb, which is in the midst of the throne, shall rule them and shall lead them to the fountains of the waters of life: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.

¹² And they heard a great voice from heaven, saying to them: Come up hither. And they went up to heaven in a cloud: and their enemies saw them.

⁵ And she brought forth a man child, who was to rule all nations with an iron rod. And her son was taken up to God and to his throne.

³ And I heard a great voice from the throne, saying: Behold the tabernacle of God with men: and he will dwell with them. And they shall be his people: and God himself with them shall be their God. ⁴ And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes: and death shall be no more. Nor mourning, nor crying, nor sorrow shall be any more, for the former things are passed away. ⁵ And he that sat on the throne, said: Behold, I make all things new. And he said to me: Write. For these words are most faithful and true. ⁶ And he said to me: It is done. I am Alpha and Omega: the Beginning and the End. To him that thirsteth, I will give of the fountain of the water of life, freely. ⁷ He that shall overcome shall possess these things. And I will be his God: and he shall be my son.

²² And I saw no temple therein. For the Lord God Almighty is the temple thereof, and the Lamb. ²³ And the city hath no need of the sun, nor of the moon, to shine in it. For the glory of God hath enlightened it: and the Lamb is the lamp thereof.

³ And there shall be no curse any more: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it. And his servants shall serve him. ⁴ And they shall see his face: and his name shall be on their foreheads. ⁵ And night shall be no more. And they shall not need the light of the lamp, nor the light of the sun, because the Lord God shall enlighten then. And they shall reign for ever and ever.
