² Dearly beloved, we are now the sons of God: and it hath not yet appeared what we shall be. We know that when he shall appear we shall be like to him: because we shall see him as he is.

²⁶ And I shall be clothed again with my skin, and in my flesh I shall see my God.

¹¹ Thou hast made known to me the ways of life, thou shalt fill me with joy with thy countenance: at thy right hand are delights even to the end.

¹⁵ But as for me, I will appear before thy sight in justice: I shall be satisfied when thy glory shall appear.

^{19 (31:20)} O how great is the multitude of thy sweetness, O Lord, which thou hast hidden for them that fear thee! Which thou hast wrougth for them that hope in thee, in the sight of the sons of men.

⁵ I will give to them in my house, and within my walls, a place, and a name better than sons and daughters: I will give them an everlasting name which shall never perish.

² And who shall be able to think of the day of his coming? and who shall stand to see him? for he is like a refining fire, and like thc fuller's herb:

⁸ Blessed are the clean of heart: they shall see God.

²⁴ Father, I will that where I am, they also whom thou hast given me may be with me: that they may see my glory which thou hast given me, because thou hast loved me before the creation of the world.

¹⁴ For whosoever are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. ¹⁵ For you have not received the spirit of bondage again in fear: but you have received the spirit of adoption of sons, whereby we cry: Abba (Father).

¹⁸ For I reckon that the sufferings of this time are not worthy to be compared with the glory to come that shall be revealed in us.

²⁹ For whom he foreknew, he also predestinated to be made conformable to the image of his Son: that he might be the Firstborn amongst many brethren.

⁹ But, as it is written: That eye hath not seen, nor ear heard: neither hath it entered into the heart of man, what things God hath prepared for them that love him.

¹² We see now through a glass in a dark manner: but then face to face. Now I know in part: but then I shall know even as I am known.

⁴⁹ Therefore, as we have borne the image of the earthly, let us bear also the image of the heavenly.

¹⁸ But we all, beholding the glory of the Lord with open face, are transformed into the same image from glory to glory, as by the Spirit of the Lord.

¹⁷ For that which is at present momentary and light of our tribulation worketh for us above measure, exceedingly an eternal weight of glory.

⁶ Therefore having always confidence, knowing that while we are in the body we are absent from the Lord. ⁷ (For we walk by faith and not by sight.) ⁸ But we are confident and have a good will to be absent rather from the body and to be present with the Lord.

²⁶ For you are all the children of God, by faith in Christ Jesus.

⁶ And because you are sons, God hath sent the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying: Abba, Father.

²¹ Who will reform the body of our lowness, made like to the body of his glory, according to the operation whereby also he is able to subdue all things unto himself.

⁴ When Christ shall appear, who is your life, then you also shall appear with him in glory.

²⁸ So also Christ was offered once to exhaust the sins of many. The second time he shall appear without sin to them that expect him unto salvation.

⁴ By whom he hath given us most great and precious promises: that by these you may be made partakers of the divine nature: flying the corruption of that concupiscence which is in the world.

²⁸ And now, little children, abide in him, that when he shall appear we may have confidence and not be confounded by him at his coming.

¹ Behold what manner of charity the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called and should be the sons of God. Therefore the world knoweth not us, because it knew not him.

¹ Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ, is born of God. And every one that loveth him who begot, loveth him also who is born of him.

⁴ And they shall see his face: and his name shall be on their foreheads.
