¹² And he feared God at that time, saying: How can I bring in the ark of God to me?

¹² And the children of Israel said to Moses: Behold we are consumed, we all perish. ¹³ Whosoever approacheth to the tabernacle of the Lord, he dieth. Are we all to a man to be utterly destroyed?

¹⁰ Therefore they sent the ark of God into Accaron. And when the ark of God was come into Accaron, the Accaronites cried out, saying: They have brought the ark of the God of Israel to us, to kill us and our people. ¹¹ They sent therefore, and gathered together all the lords of the Philistines: and they said: Send away the ark of the God of Israel, and let it return into its own place, and not kill us and our people.

²⁰ And the men of Bethsames said: Who shall be able to stand before the Lord this holy God? and to whom shall he go up from us?

²⁷ Is it then to be thought that God should indeed dwell upon earth? for if heaven, and the heavens of heavens, cannot contain thee, how much less this house which I have built?

⁵ Behold even the moon doth not shine, and the stars are not pure in his sight. ⁶ How much less man that is rottenness and the son of man who is a worm?

¹²⁰ Pierce thou my flesh with thy fear: for I am afraid of thy judgments.

⁵ And I said: Woe is me, because I have held my peace; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people that hath unclean lips, and I have seen with my eyes the King the Lord of hosts.

²⁴ But he that had received the one talent, came and said: Lord, I know that thou art a hard man; thou reapest where thou hast not sown and gatherest where thou hast not strewed.

⁸ Which when Simon Peter saw, he fell down at Jesus' knees, saying: Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord. ⁹ For he was wholly astonished, and all that were with him, at the draught of the fishes which they had taken.
