³¹ But Israel, pursuing after a law of righteousness, has not attained to [that] law.

¹ Hearken unto me, ye that follow after righteousness, ye that seek Jehovah: look unto the rock [whence] ye were hewn, and to the hole of the pit [whence] ye were digged.

²⁰ Wherefore by works of law no flesh shall be justified before him; for by law [is] knowledge of sin.

¹⁴ For if they which [are] of law be heirs, faith is made vain, and the promise made of no effect. ¹⁵ For law works wrath; but where no law is neither [is there] transgression.

³⁰ What then shall we say? That [they of the] nations, who did not follow after righteousness, have attained righteousness, but [the] righteousness that is on the principle of faith. ³¹ But Israel, pursuing after a law of righteousness, has not attained to [that] law. ³² Wherefore? Because [it was] not on the principle of faith, but as of works. They have stumbled at the stumblingstone,

² For I bear them witness that they have zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. ³ For they, being ignorant of God`s righteousness, and seeking to establish their own [righteousness], have not submitted to the righteousness of God. ⁴ For Christ is [the] end of law for righteousness to every one that believes.

⁷ What [is it] then? What Israel seeks for, that he has not obtained; but the election has obtained, and the rest have been blinded,

¹⁰ For as many as are on the principle of works of law are under curse. For it is written, Cursed is every one who does not continue in all things which [are] written in the book of the law to do them; ¹¹ but that by law no one is justified with God [is] evident, because The just shall live on the principle of faith;

²¹ [Is] then the law against the promises of God? Far be the thought. For if a law had been given able to quicken, then indeed righteousness were on the principle of law;

³ And I witness again to every man [who is] circumcised, that he is debtor to do the whole law. ⁴ Ye are deprived of all profit from the Christ as separated [from him], as many as are justified by law; ye have fallen from grace.

⁶ as to zeal, persecuting the assembly; as to righteousness which [is] in [the] law, found blameless;

¹⁰ For whoever shall keep the whole law and shall offend in one [point], he has come under the guilt of [breaking] all. ¹¹ For he who said, Thou shalt not commit adultery, said also, Thou shalt not kill. Now if thou dost not commit adultery, but killest, thou art become transgressor of [the] law.
