² One man is assured that he may eat all things; but the weak eats herbs.

²⁹ And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb producing seed that is on the whole earth, and every tree in which is the fruit of a tree producing seed: it shall be food for you;

³ Every moving thing that liveth shall be food for you: as the green herb I give you everything.

¹⁷ Better is a meal of herbs where love is, than a fatted ox and hatred therewith.

¹² Prove thy servants, I beseech thee, ten days; and let them give us pulse to eat, and water to drink;

¹⁶ So the steward took away their delicate food, and the wine that they should drink; and gave them pulse.

¹⁴ I know, and am persuaded in the Lord Jesus, that nothing is unclean of itself; except to him who reckons anything to be unclean, to that man [it is] unclean.

²² Hast *thou* faith? have [it] to thyself before God. Blessed [is] he who does not judge himself in what he allows. ²³ But he that doubts, if he eat, is condemned; because [it is] not of faith; but whatever [is] not of faith is sin.

²⁵ Everything sold in the shambles eat, making no inquiry for conscience sake.

¹² for before that certain came from James, he ate with [those of] the nations; but when they came, he drew back and separated himself, fearing those of [the] circumcision;

⁴ For every creature of God [is] good, and nothing [is] to be rejected, being received with thanksgiving;

¹⁵ All things [are] pure to the pure; but to the defiled and unbelieving nothing [is] pure; but both their mind and their conscience are defiled.

¹⁰ [consisting] only of meats and drinks and divers washings, ordinances of flesh, imposed until [the] time of setting things right.

⁹ Be not carried away with various and strange doctrines; for [it is] good that the heart be confirmed with grace, not meats; those who have walked in which have not been profited by [them].
