¹² And Absalom sent for Ahithophel the Gilonite, David`s counsellor, from his city, from Giloh, while he offered the sacrifices. And the conspiracy gathered strength; and the people increased continually with Absalom.

²³ And the counsel of Ahithophel, which he counselled in those days, was as if a man had inquired of the word of God: so was all the counsel of Ahithophel both with David and with Absalom.

⁹ Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I confided, who did eat of my bread, hath lifted up [his] heel against me.

⁴ Take ye heed every one of his friend, and confide not in any brother; for every brother only supplanteth, and every friend goeth about with slander.

Then coming up they laid hands upon Jesus and seized him.

⁴⁴ Now he that delivered him up had given them a sign between them, saying, Whomsoever I shall kiss, that is he; seize him, and lead [him] away safely. ⁴⁵ And being come, straightway coming up to him, he says, Rabbi, Rabbi; and he covered him with kisses.

²¹ Moreover, behold, the hand of him that delivers me up [is] with me on the table;

⁴⁷ As he was yet speaking, behold, a crowd, and he that was called Judas, one of the twelve, went on before them, and drew near to Jesus to kiss him. ⁴⁸ And Jesus said to him, Judas, deliverest thou up the Son of man with a kiss?

¹³ Pilate therefore, having heard these words, led Jesus out and sat down upon [the] judgment-seat, at a place called Pavement, but in Hebrew Gabbatha;
