⁹ The fear of Jehovah is clean, enduring for ever; the judgments of Jehovah are truth, they are righteous altogether:

¹² And he said, Stretch not out thy hand against the lad, neither do anything to him; for now I know that thou fearest God, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only [son], from me.

¹⁸ And Joseph said to them the third day, This do, that ye may live: I fear God.

¹ And these are the judgments which thou shalt set before them.

⁸ And what great nation is there that hath righteous statutes and ordinances, as all this law which I set before you this day?

²⁴ Only, fear Jehovah, and serve him in truth, with all your heart; for see how great things he has done for you.

³ And Ahab called Obadiah, who was the steward of his house (now Obadiah feared Jehovah greatly; ⁴ and it was so, when Jezebel cut off the prophets of Jehovah, that Obadiah took a hundred prophets, and hid them by fifty in a cave, and maintained them with bread and water);

¹² And it shall come to pass when I am gone from thee, that the Spirit of Jehovah shall carry thee whither I know not; and when I come and tell Ahab, and he cannot find thee, he will kill me; and I thy servant fear Jehovah from my youth.

¹⁵ But the former governors that were before me had been chargeable to the people, and had taken of them bread and wine, besides forty shekels of silver: even their servants bore rule over the people. But I did not so, because of the fear of God.

⁵ His ways always succeed; thy judgments are far above out of his sight; [as for] all his adversaries, he puffeth at them.

¹¹ Come, ye sons, hearken unto me: I will teach you the fear of Jehovah. ¹² What man is he that desireth life, [and] loveth days, that he may see good? ¹³ Keep thy tongue from evil, and thy lips from speaking guile; ¹⁴ Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it.

¹ {To the chief Musician. [A Psalm] of the servant of Jehovah; of David.} The transgression of the wicked uttereth within my heart, There is no fear of God before his eyes.

⁶ Thy righteousness is like the high mountains; thy judgments are a great deep: thou, Jehovah, preservest man and beast.

¹ {For Solomon.} O God, give the king thy judgments, and thy righteousness unto the king`s son. ² He will judge thy people with righteousness, and thine afflicted with judgment.

¹⁰ The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of wisdom; a good understanding have all they that do [his precepts]: his praise abideth for ever.

¹³ He will bless them that fear Jehovah, both the small and the great.

¹ ALEPH. Blessed are the perfect in the way, who walk in the law of Jehovah.

⁷ I will give thee thanks with uprightness of heart, when I shall have learned thy righteous judgments.

³⁹ Turn away my reproach which I fear; for thy judgments are good.

⁶² At midnight I rise up to give thanks unto thee, because of thy righteous judgments.

⁷⁵ I know, Jehovah, that thy Judgments are righteousness, and that in faithfulness thou hast afflicted me.

¹⁰⁶ I have sworn, and I will perform it, that I will keep thy righteous judgments.

¹³⁷ TZADE. Righteous art thou, Jehovah, and upright are thy judgments. ¹³⁸ Thou hast commanded thy testimonies in righteousness and exceeding faithfulness.

¹⁴² Thy righteousness is an everlasting righteousness, and thy law is truth.

¹⁹ He sheweth his word unto Jacob, his statutes and his judgments unto Israel.

¹³ The fear of Jehovah is to hate evil; pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth do I hate.

⁸ Yea, in the way of thy judgments, O Jehovah, have we waited for thee; the desire of [our] soul is to thy name, and to thy memorial.

²² And they said, Cornelius, a centurion, a righteous man, and fearing God, and borne witness to by the whole nation of the Jews, has been divinely instructed by a holy angel to send for thee to his house, and hear words from thee.

² But we know that the judgment of God is according to truth upon those who do such things.

¹⁰ according as it is written, There is not a righteous [man], not even one; ¹¹ there is not the [man] that understands, there is not one that seeks after God. ¹² All have gone out of the way, they have together become unprofitable; there is not one that practises goodness, there is not so much as one: ¹³ their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; asps` poison [is] under their lips: ¹⁴ whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness; ¹⁵ swift their feet to shed blood; ¹⁶ ruin and misery [are] in their ways, ¹⁷ and way of peace they have not known: ¹⁸ there is no fear of God before their eyes.

²² Behold then [the] goodness and severity of God: upon them who have fallen, severity; upon thee goodness of God, if thou shalt abide in goodness, since [otherwise] *thou* also wilt be cut away.

³ And they sing the song of Moses bondman of God, and the song of the Lamb, saying, Great and wonderful [are] thy works, Lord God Almighty; righteous and true [are] thy ways, O King of nations.

⁷ And I heard the altar saying, Yea, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous [are] thy judgments.

² for true and righteous [are] his judgments; for he has judged the great harlot which corrupted the earth with her fornication, and has avenged the blood of his bondmen at her hand.
