⁴ Rejoice in [the] Lord always: again I will say, Rejoice.

¹ {[A Psalm] of David; when he changed his behaviour before Abimelech, who drove him away, and he departed.} I will bless Jehovah at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth. ² My soul shall make its boast in Jehovah: the meek shall hear, and rejoice.

¹ {A Psalm of praise. Of David.} I will extol thee, my God, O King, and I will bless thy name for ever and ever. ² Every day will I bless thee, and I will praise thy name for ever and ever.

² As long as I live will I praise Jehovah; I will sing psalms unto my God while I have my being.

¹² Rejoice and exult, for your reward is great in the heavens; for thus have they persecuted the prophets who were before you.

⁴¹ They therefore went their way from [the] presence of the council, rejoicing that they were counted worthy to be dishonoured for the name.

²⁵ And at midnight Paul and Silas, in praying, were praising God with singing, and the prisoners listened to them.

² by whom we have also access by faith into this favour in which we stand, and we boast in hope of the glory of God. ³ And not only [that], but we also boast in tribulations, knowing that tribulation works endurance;

¹² As regards hope, rejoicing: as regards tribulation, enduring: as regards prayer, persevering:

¹ This third time I am coming to you. In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every matter be established. ² I have declared beforehand, and I say beforehand as present the second time, and now absent, to those that have sinned before, and to all the rest, that if I come again I will not spare.

⁸ But if even *we* or an angel out of heaven announce as glad tidings to you [anything] besides what we have announced as glad tidings to you, let him be accursed.

¹ For the rest, my brethren, rejoice in [the] Lord: to write the same things to you, to me [is] not irksome, and for you safe.

¹⁶ rejoice always; ¹⁷ pray unceasingly; ¹⁸ in everything give thanks, for this is [the] will of God in Christ Jesus towards you;

² Count it all joy, my brethren, when ye fall into various temptations, ³ knowing that the proving of your faith works endurance. ⁴ But let endurance have [its] perfect work, that ye may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.

¹³ but as ye have share in the sufferings of Christ, rejoice, that in the revelation of his glory also ye may rejoice with exultation.
