²⁰ And he saw Amalek, and took up his parable, and said, Amalek is the first of the nations, but his latter end shall be for destruction.

⁸ And Amalek came and fought with Israel in Rephidim.

¹⁴ And Jehovah said to Moses, Write this [for] a memorial in the book, and rehearse [it] in the ears of Joshua, that I will utterly blot out the remembrance of Amalek from under the heavens.

¹⁶ And he said, For the hand is on the throne of Jah; Jehovah will have war with Amalek from generation to generation!

³ And it came to pass when Israel sowed, that Midian came up, and Amalek, and the children of the east, and came up against them.

⁹ And Harbonah, one of the chamberlains, said before the king, Behold, also, the gallows fifty cubits high, that Haman made for Mordecai, who spoke good for the king, stands in the house of Haman. And the king said, Hang him on it! ¹⁰ So they hanged Haman on the gallows that he had prepared for Mordecai. And the king`s wrath was appeased.

¹⁴ And the king commanded it so to be done: and the decree was given at Shushan; and they hanged Haman`s ten sons.
