¹⁶ And lo, one coming up said to him, Teacher, what good thing shall I do that I may have life eternal?

² And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame, to everlasting contempt.

¹⁷ And he said to him, What askest thou me concerning goodness? one is good. But if thou wouldest enter into life, keep the commandments. ¹⁸ He says to him, Which? And Jesus said, Thou shalt not kill, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness,

²⁶ But Jesus, looking on [them], said to them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible.

²⁹ And every one who has left houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name`s sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and shall inherit life eternal.

⁴⁶ And these shall go away into eternal punishment, and the righteous into life eternal.

¹⁷ And as he went forth into the way, a person ran up to [him], and kneeling to him asked him, Good Teacher, what shall I do that I may inherit eternal life? ¹⁸ But Jesus said to him, Why callest thou me good? no one is good but one, [that is] God. ¹⁹ Thou knowest the commandments: Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Do not defraud, Honour thy father and mother. ²⁰ And he answering said to him, Teacher, all these things have I kept from my youth. ²¹ And Jesus looking upon him loved him, and said to him, One thing lackest thou: go, sell whatever thou hast and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven; and come, follow me, [taking up the cross]. ²² But he, sad at the word, went away grieved, for he had large possessions. ²³ And Jesus looking around says to his disciples, How difficultly shall they that have riches enter into the kingdom of God! ²⁴ And the disciples were amazed at his words. And Jesus again answering says to them, Children, how difficult it is that those who trust in riches should enter into the kingdom of God! ²⁵ It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. ²⁶ And they were exceedingly astonished, saying to one another, And who can be saved? ²⁷ But Jesus looking on them says, With men it is impossible, but not with God; for all things are possible with God. ²⁸ Peter began to say to him, Behold, *we* have left all things and have followed thee. ²⁹ Jesus answering said, Verily I say to you, There is no one who has left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, [or wife], or children, or lands, for my sake and for the sake of the gospel, ³⁰ that shall not receive a hundredfold now in this time: houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions, and in the coming age life eternal.

²⁵ And behold, a certain lawyer stood up tempting him, and saying, Teacher, having done what, shall I inherit life eternal? ²⁶ And he said to him, What is written in the law? how readest thou? ²⁷ But he answering said, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy strength, and with all thine understanding; and thy neighbour as thyself. ²⁸ And he said to him, Thou hast answered right: this do and thou shalt live.

¹⁸ And a certain ruler asked him saying, Good teacher, having done what, shall I inherit eternal life? ¹⁹ But Jesus said to him, Why callest thou me good? There is none good but one, God. ²⁰ Thou knowest the commandments: Do not commit adultery, Do not kill, Do not steal, Do not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother. ²¹ And he said, All these things have I kept from my youth. ²² And when Jesus had heard this, he said to him, One thing is lacking to thee yet: Sell all that thou hast and distribute to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in the heavens, and come, follow me. ²³ But when he heard this he became very sorrowful, for he was very rich. ²⁴ But when Jesus saw that he became very sorrowful, he said, How difficultly shall those who have riches enter into the kingdom of God; ²⁵ for it is easier for a camel to enter through a needle`s eye than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God. <sup>26</sup> And those who heard it said, And who can be saved? <sup>27</sup> But he said, The things that are impossible with men are possible with God. <sup>28</sup> And Peter said, Behold, *we* have left all things and have followed thee. <sup>29</sup> And he said to them, Verily I say to you, There is no one who has left home, or parents, or brethren, or wife, or children, for the kingdom of God`s sake, ³⁰ who shall not receive manifold more at this time, and in the coming age life eternal.

¹⁵ that every one who believes on him may [not perish, but] have life eternal.

¹⁴ but whosoever drinks of the water which I shall give him shall never thirst for ever, but the water which I shall give him shall become in him a fountain of water, springing up into eternal life.

³⁹ Ye search the scriptures, for ye think that in them ye have life eternal, and they it is which bear witness concerning me;

²⁷ Work not [for] the food which perishes, but [for] the food which abides unto life eternal, which the Son of man shall give to you; for him has the Father sealed, [even] God. ²⁸ They said therefore to him, What should we do that we may work the works of God? ²⁹ Jesus answered and said to them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom *he* has sent.

⁴⁷ Verily, verily, I say to you, He that believes [on me] has life eternal.

⁶⁸ Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast words of life eternal;

²⁸ and I give them life eternal; and they shall never perish, and no one shall seize them out of my hand.

²⁵ He that loves his life shall lose it, and he that hates his life in this world shall keep it to life eternal.

² as thou hast given him authority over all flesh, that [as to] all that thou hast given to him, he should give them life eternal. ³ And this is the eternal life, that they should know thee, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent.

³⁰ And leading them out said, Sirs, what must I do that I may be saved?

⁷ to them who, in patient continuance of good works, seek for glory and honour and incorruptibility, life eternal.

²¹ in order that, even as sin has reigned in [the power of] death, so also grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.

²² But *now*, having got your freedom from sin, and having become bondmen to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end eternal life. ²³ For the wages of sin [is] death; but the act of favour of God, eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

¹⁶ But for this reason mercy was shewn me, that in me, [the] first, Jesus Christ might display the whole long-suffering, for a delineation of those about to believe on him to life eternal.

¹² Strive earnestly [in] the good conflict of faith. Lay hold of eternal life, to which thou hast been called, and hast confessed the good confession before many witnesses.

¹⁹ laying by for themselves a good foundation for the future, that they may lay hold of [what is] really life.

² in [the] hope of eternal life, which God, who cannot lie, promised before the ages of time,

⁷ that, having been justified by *his* grace, we should become heirs according to [the] hope of eternal life.

² (and the life has been manifested, and we have seen, and bear witness, and report to you the eternal life, which was with the Father, and has been manifested to us:)

²⁵ And this is the promise which *he* has promised us, life eternal.

¹¹ And this is the witness, that God has given to us eternal life; and this life is in his Son. ¹² He that has the Son has life: he that has not the Son of God has not life. ¹³ These things have I written to you that ye may know that ye have eternal life who believe on the name of the Son of God.

²⁰ And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us an understanding that we should know him that [is] true; and we are in him that [is] true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.

²¹ keep yourselves in the love of God, awaiting the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
