¹⁷ And Jesus answering said to him, Blessed art thou, Simon Bar-jona, for flesh and blood has not revealed [it] to thee, but my Father who is in the heavens.

¹³ And all thy children [shall be] taught of Jehovah, and great shall be the peace of thy children.

³ Blessed [are] the poor in spirit, for *theirs* is the kingdom of the heavens. ⁴ Blessed they that mourn, for *they* shall be comforted. ⁵ Blessed the meek, for *they* shall inherit the earth. ⁶ Blessed they who hunger and thirst after righteousness, for *they* shall be filled. ⁷ Blessed the merciful, for *they* shall find mercy. ⁸ Blessed the pure in heart, for *they* shall see God. ⁹ Blessed the peace-makers, for *they* shall be called sons of God. ¹⁰ Blessed they who are persecuted on account of righteousness, for *theirs* is the kingdom of the heavens. ¹¹ Blessed are ye when they may reproach and persecute you, and say every wicked thing against you, lying, for my sake.

²⁵ At that time, Jesus answering said, I praise thee, Father, Lord of the heaven and of the earth, that thou hast hid these things from the wise and prudent, and hast revealed them to babes. ²⁶ Yea, Father, for thus has it been well-pleasing in thy sight. ²⁷ All things have been delivered to me by my Father, and no one knows the Son but the Father, nor does any one know the Father, but the Son, and he to whom the Son may be pleased to reveal [him].

¹⁶ But blessed are *your* eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear; ¹⁷ for verily I say unto you, that many prophets and righteous [men] have desired to see the things which ye behold and did not see [them], and to hear the things which ye hear and did not hear [them].

²¹ In the same hour Jesus rejoiced in spirit and said, I praise thee, Father, Lord of the heaven and of the earth, that thou hast hid these things from wise and prudent, and hast revealed them to babes: yea, Father, for thus has it been well-pleasing in thy sight. ²² All things have been delivered to me by my Father, and no one knows who the Son is but the Father, and who the Father is but the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son is pleased to reveal [him]. ²³ And having turned to the disciples privately he said, Blessed are the eyes which see the things that ye see. ²⁴ For I say to you that many prophets and kings have desired to see the things which ye behold, and did not see [them]; and to hear the things which ye hear, and did not hear [them].

³² but *I* have besought for thee that thy faith fail not; and *thou*, when once thou hast been restored, confirm thy brethren.

⁴² And he led him to Jesus. Jesus looking at him said, Thou art Simon, the son of Jonas; thou shalt be called Cephas (which interpreted is stone).

⁴⁵ It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every one that has heard from the Father [himself], and has learned [of him], comes to me;

⁶ I have manifested thy name to the men whom thou gavest me out of the world. They were thine, and thou gavest them me, and they have kept thy word. ⁷ Now they have known that all things that thou hast given me are of thee; ⁸ for the words which thou hast given me I have given them, and they have received [them], and have known truly that I came out from thee, and have believed that thou sentest me.

¹⁵ When therefore they had dined, Jesus says to Simon Peter, Simon, [son] of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He says to him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I am attached to thee. He says to him, Feed my lambs. ¹⁶ He says to him again a second time, Simon, [son] of Jonas, lovest thou me? He says to him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I am attached to thee. He says to him, Shepherd my sheep. ¹⁷ He says to him the third time, Simon, [son] of Jonas, art thou attached to me? Peter was grieved because he said to him the third time, Art thou attached to me? and said to him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I am attached to thee. Jesus says to him, Feed my sheep.

⁹ but according as it is written, Things which eye has not seen, and ear not heard, and which have not come into man`s heart, which God has prepared for them that love him, ¹⁰ but God has revealed to us by [his] Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God. ¹¹ For who of men hath known the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? thus also the things of God knows no one except the Spirit of God. ¹² But *we* have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which [is] of God, that we may know the things which have been freely given to us of God:

⁵⁰ But this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit God`s kingdom, nor does corruption inherit incorruptibility.

¹¹ But I let you know, brethren, [as to] the glad tidings which were announced by me, that they are not according to man. ¹² For neither did I receive them from man, neither was I taught [them], but by revelation of Jesus Christ.

¹⁶ was pleased to reveal his Son in me, that I may announce him as glad tidings among the nations, immediately I took not counsel with flesh and blood, ¹⁷ that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, would give you [the] spirit of wisdom and revelation in the full knowledge of him, ¹⁸ being enlightened in the eyes of your heart, so that ye should know what is the hope of his calling, [and] what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,

⁸ For ye are saved by grace, through faith; and this not of yourselves; it is God`s gift:

⁵ which in other generations has not been made known to the sons of men, as it has now been revealed to his holy apostles and prophets in [the power of the] Spirit,

¹⁸ in order that ye may be fully able to apprehend with all the saints what [is] the breadth and length and depth and height; ¹⁹ and to know the love of the Christ which surpasses knowledge; that ye may be filled [even] to all the fulness of God.

¹² because our struggle is not against blood and flesh, but against principalities, against authorities, against the universal lords of this darkness, against spiritual [power] of wickedness in the heavenlies.

²⁶ the mystery which [has been] hidden from ages and from generations, but has now been made manifest to his saints; ²⁷ to whom God would make known what are the riches of the glory of this mystery among the nations, which is Christ in you the hope of glory:

¹⁴ Since therefore the children partake of blood and flesh, he also, in like manner, took part in the same, that through death he might annul him who has the might of death, that is, the devil;

³ Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who, according to his great mercy, has begotten us again to a living hope through [the] resurrection of Jesus Christ from among [the] dead, ⁴ to an incorruptible and undefiled and unfading inheritance, reserved in [the] heavens for you, ⁵ who are kept guarded by [the] power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in [the] last time.

¹ The elders which [are] among you I exhort, who [am their] fellow-elder and witness of the sufferings of the Christ, who also [am] partaker of the glory about to be revealed:

¹⁵ Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.

²⁰ And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us an understanding that we should know him that [is] true; and we are in him that [is] true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.
