¹⁸ And they began to salute him, Hail, King of the Jews!

¹⁰ And he told [it] to his father and to his brethren. And his father rebuked him, and said to him, What is this dream which thou hast dreamt? Shall we indeed come, I and thy mother and thy brethren, to bow down ourselves to thee to the earth?

²⁰ And now come and let us kill him, and cast him into one of the pits, and we will say, An evil beast has devoured him; and we will see what becomes of his dreams.

⁴² He saved others, himself he cannot save. He is King of Israel: let him descend now from the cross, and we will believe on him. ⁴³ He trusted upon God; let him save him now if he will [have] him. For he said, I am Son of God.

² And Pilate asked him, Art *thou* the King of the Jews? And he answered and said to him, *Thou* sayest.

²⁹ And they that passed by reviled him, shaking their heads, and saying, Aha, thou that destroyest the temple and buildest it in three days, ³⁰ save thyself, and descend from the cross. ³¹ In like manner the chief priests also, with the scribes, mocking with one another, said, He saved others; himself he cannot save. ³² Let the Christ the King of Israel descend now from the cross, that we may see and may believe. And they that were crucified with him reproached him.

³⁶ And the soldiers also made game of him, coming up offering him vinegar, ³⁷ and saying, If *thou* be the king of the Jews, save thyself.

¹⁴ (now it was [the] preparation of the passover; it was about the sixth hour;) and he says to the Jews, Behold your king! ¹⁵ But they cried out, Take [him] away, take [him] away, crucify him. Pilate says to them, Shall I crucify your king? The chief priests answered, We have no king but Caesar.
