¹⁶ And having taken them in his arms, having laid his hands on them, he blessed them.

¹⁴ But Israel stretched out his right hand, and laid [it] on Ephraim`s head -- now he was the younger -- and his left hand on Manasseh`s head; guiding his hands intelligently, for Manasseh was the firstborn. ¹⁵ And he blessed Joseph, and said, The God before whom my fathers Abraham and Isaac walked, the God that shepherded me all my life long to this day, ¹⁶ the Angel that redeemed me from all evil, bless the lads; and let my name be named upon them, and the name of my fathers Abraham and Isaac; and let them grow into a multitude in the midst of the land!

³ Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field.

¹¹ He will feed his flock like a shepherd: he will gather the lambs with his arm, and carry them in his bosom; he will gently lead those that give suck.

³⁶ And taking a little child he set it in their midst, and having taken it in his arms he said to them,

²⁸ *he* received him into his arms, and blessed God, and said, ²⁹ Lord, now thou lettest thy bondman go, according to thy word, in peace; ³⁰ for mine eyes have seen thy salvation, ³¹ which thou hast prepared before the face of all peoples; ³² a light for revelation of [the] Gentiles and [the] glory of thy people Israel. ³³ And his father and mother wondered at the things which were said concerning him. ³⁴ And Simeon blessed them, and said to Mary his mother, Lo, this [child] is set for the fall and rising up of many in Israel, and for a sign spoken against;

⁵⁰ And he led them out as far as Bethany, and having lifted up his hands, he blessed them. ⁵¹ And it came to pass as he was blessing them, he was separated from them and was carried up into heaven.

¹⁵ When therefore they had dined, Jesus says to Simon Peter, Simon, [son] of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these? He says to him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I am attached to thee. He says to him, Feed my lambs. ¹⁶ He says to him again a second time, Simon, [son] of Jonas, lovest thou me? He says to him, Yea, Lord; thou knowest that I am attached to thee. He says to him, Shepherd my sheep. ¹⁷ He says to him the third time, Simon, [son] of Jonas, art thou attached to me? Peter was grieved because he said to him the third time, Art thou attached to me? and said to him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I am attached to thee. Jesus says to him, Feed my sheep.
