²¹ And the scribes and the Pharisees began to reason [in their minds], saying, Who is this who speaks blasphemies? Who is able to forgive sins but God alone?

⁶ And Jehovah passed by before his face, and proclaimed, Jehovah, Jehovah ?God merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abundant in goodness and truth, ⁷ keeping mercy unto thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, but by no means clearing [the guilty]; visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children, and upon the children`s children, upon the third and upon the fourth [generation].

¹⁶ And he that blasphemeth the name of Jehovah shall certainly be put to death; all the assembly shall certainly stone him; as well the stranger as he that is home-born, when he blasphemeth the Name, shall be put to death.

¹⁰ and set two men, sons of Belial, before him, and they shall bear witness against him saying, Thou didst curse God and the king; and carry him out, and stone him, that he may die. ¹¹ And the men of his city, the elders and the nobles that dwelt in his city, did as Jezebel had sent to them, as it was written in the letter that she had sent to them: ¹² they proclaimed a fast, and set Naboth at the head of the people. ¹³ And there came the two men, sons of Belial, and sat before him; and the men of Belial witnessed against him, against Naboth, in the presence of the people, saying, Naboth blasphemed God and the king. And they carried him forth out of the city, and stoned him with stones, that he died. ¹⁴ And they sent to Jezebel saying, Naboth is stoned, and is dead.

⁵ I acknowledged my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity I covered not; I said, I will confess my transgressions unto Jehovah, and *thou* forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah.

⁵ Let them be as chaff before the wind, and let the angel of Jehovah drive [them] away;

³ Who forgiveth all thine iniquities, who healeth all thy diseases;

⁴ But there is forgiveness with thee, that thou mayest be feared.

¹⁸ Come now, let us reason together, saith Jehovah: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

²⁵ -- I, I [am] He that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and I will not remember thy sins.

²² I have blotted out, as a thick cloud, thy transgressions, and, as a cloud, thy sins: return unto me; for I have redeemed thee.

⁹ With the Lord our God are mercies and pardons, for we have rebelled against him;

¹⁹ Lord, hear! Lord, forgive! Lord, hearken and do! defer not, for thine own sake, O my God! for thy city and thy people are called by thy name.

¹⁹ He will yet again have compassion on us, he will tread under foot our iniquities: and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.

³ And behold, certain of the scribes said to themselves, This [man] blasphemes.

⁶⁵ Then the high priest rent his clothes, saying, He has blasphemed: what need have we any more of witnesses? behold, now ye have heard the blasphemy.

⁶ But certain of the scribes were there sitting, and reasoning in their hearts, ⁷ Why does this [man] thus speak? he blasphemes. Who is able to forgive sins except God alone?

¹⁷ And it came to pass on one of the days, that *he* was teaching, and there were Pharisees and doctors of the law sitting by, who were come out of every village of Galilee and Judaea and [out of] Jerusalem; and [the] Lord`s power was [there] to heal them.

⁴⁹ And they that were with [them] at table began to say within themselves, Who is this who forgives also sins?

³³ The Jews answered him, For a good work we stone thee not, but for blasphemy, and because thou, being a man, makest thyself God.

¹¹ Then they suborned men, saying, We have heard him speaking blasphemous words against Moses and God. ¹² And they roused the people, and the elders, and the scribes. And coming upon [him] they seized him and brought [him] to the council. ¹³ And they set false witnesses, saying, This man does not cease speaking words against the holy place and the law;

³³ Who shall bring an accusation against God`s elect? [It is] God who justifies:
