¹⁶ And for this the Jews persecuted Jesus [and sought to kill him], because he had done these things on sabbath.

¹³ Then he says to the man, Stretch out thy hand. And he stretched [it] out, and it was restored sound as the other.

⁶ And the Pharisees going out straightway with the Herodians took counsel against him, how they might destroy him.

¹¹ But *they* were filled with madness, and they spoke together among themselves what they should do to Jesus.

¹³ But he that had been healed knew not who it was, for Jesus had slidden away, there being a crowd in the place.

¹⁹ Has not Moses given you the law, and no one of you practises the law? Why do ye seek to kill me? ²⁰ The crowd answered [and said], Thou hast a demon: who seeks to kill thee?

²⁵ Some therefore of those of Jerusalem said, Is not this he whom they seek to kill?

³⁹ They sought therefore again to take him; and he went away from out of their hand

²⁰ Remember the word which I said unto you, The bondman is not greater than his master. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my word, they will keep also yours.

⁴ and falling on the earth he heard a voice saying to him, Saul, Saul, why dost thou persecute me? ⁵ And he said, Who art thou, Lord? And he [said], *I* am Jesus, whom *thou* persecutest.
