⁸ And who shut up the sea with doors, when it burst forth, issuing out of the womb?

⁹ And God said, Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together to one place, and let the dry [land] appear. And it was so.

¹⁰ When I cut out for it my boundary, and set bars and doors,

⁷ He gathereth the waters of the sea together as a heap; he layeth up the deeps in storehouses.

⁸ The mountains rose, the valleys sank, unto the place which thou hadst founded for them; -- ⁹ Thou hast set a bound which they may not pass over, that they turn not again to cover the earth.

²⁹ when he imposed on the sea his decree that the waters should not pass his commandment, when he appointed the foundations of the earth:

²² Will ye not fear me? saith Jehovah. Will ye not tremble at my presence, who have set the sand a bound for the sea by a perpetual decree, and it shall not pass it? and its waves toss themselves, but they do not prevail; and they roar, yet can they not pass over it?
