¹⁰ His children shall seek the favour of the poor, and his hands restore his wealth.

² For if thou refuse to let them go, and shalt retain them still,

³⁶ And Jehovah had given the people favour in the eyes of the Egyptians, and they gave to them; and they spoiled the Egyptians.

¹ If a man steal an ox, or a sheep, and kill it, or sell it, he shall restore five oxen for the ox, and four sheep for the sheep.

³ If the sun be risen on him, there shall be blood-guiltiness for him; he should have made full restitution: if he had nothing, he would have been sold for his theft.

⁶ and he shall restore the lamb fourfold, because he did this thing, and because he had no pity.

⁴ His children are far from safety, and they are crushed in the gate, and there is no deliverer:

¹⁸ That which he laboured for shall he restore, and not swallow down; its restitution shall be according to the value, and he shall not rejoice [therein].

¹⁶ Though he heap up silver as the dust, and prepare clothing as the clay; ¹⁷ He may prepare it, but the just shall put it on; and the innocent shall divide the silver.

¹⁰ Let his sons be vagabonds and beg, and let them seek [their bread] far from their desolate places;

³¹ and if he be found, he shall restore sevenfold; he shall give all the substance of his house.

³ A poor man who oppresseth the helpless is a sweeping rain which leaveth no food.

⁸ But Zacchaeus stood and said to the Lord, Behold, Lord, the half of my goods I give to the poor, and if I have taken anything from any man by false accusation, I return [him] fourfold.
