³ Jehovah hath appeared from afar unto me, [saying,] Yea, I have loved thee with an everlasting love; therefore with loving-kindness have I drawn thee.

³⁷ And because he loved thy fathers, and chose their seed after them, he brought thee out with his countenance, with his great power, out of Egypt,

⁷ Not because ye were more in number than all the peoples, hath Jehovah been attached to you and chosen you, for ye are the fewest of all the peoples; ⁸ but because Jehovah loved you, and because he would keep the oath which he had sworn unto your fathers, hath Jehovah brought you out with a powerful hand, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt. ⁹ And thou shalt know that Jehovah thy God, he is God, the faithful ?God, who keepeth covenant and mercy to a thousand generations with them that love him and keep his commandments;

¹⁵ Only, Jehovah took pleasure in thy fathers, to love them, and he chose their seed after them, [even] you, out of all the peoples, as it is this day.

³ Yea, he loveth the peoples, All his saints are in thy hand, And they sit down at thy feet; Each receiveth of thy words.

²⁶ There is none like unto the ?God of Jeshurun, Who rideth upon the heavens to thy help, And in his majesty, upon the clouds.

¹⁷ But the loving-kindness of Jehovah is from everlasting and to everlasting, upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children`s children,

⁴ Draw me, we will run after thee! -- The king hath brought me into his chambers -- We will be glad and rejoice in thee, We will remember thy love more than wine. They love thee uprightly.

¹⁷ Israel shall be saved by Jehovah with an everlasting salvation: ye shall not be ashamed nor confounded, unto the ages of ages.

⁸ In the outpouring of wrath have I hid my face from thee for a moment; but with everlasting loving-kindness will I have mercy on thee, saith Jehovah, thy Redeemer. ⁹ For this is [as] the waters of Noah unto me, since I have sworn that the waters of Noah should no more go over the earth: so have I sworn that I will no more be wroth with thee, nor rebuke thee.

¹ When Israel was a child, then I loved him, and out of Egypt I called my son.

⁴ I drew them with bands of a man, with cords of love; and I was to them as they that take off the yoke on their jaws, and I gently caused them to eat.

² I have loved you, saith Jehovah; but ye say, Wherein hast thou loved us? Was not Esau Jacob`s brother? saith Jehovah, and I loved Jacob,

⁴⁴ No one can come to me except the Father who has sent me draw him, and I will raise him up in the last day. ⁴⁵ It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every one that has heard from the Father [himself], and has learned [of him], comes to me;

³⁰ But whom he has predestinated, these also he has called; and whom he has called, these also he has justified; but whom he has justified, these also he has glorified.

¹³ according as it is written, I have loved Jacob, and I have hated Esau.

²⁸ As regards the glad tidings, [they are] enemies on your account; but as regards election, beloved on account of the fathers. ²⁹ For the gifts and the calling of God [are] not subject to repentance.

³ Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenlies in Christ; ⁴ according as he has chosen us in him before [the] world`s foundation, that we should be holy and blameless before him in love; ⁵ having marked us out beforehand for adoption through Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

⁴ but God, being rich in mercy, because of his great love wherewith he loved us, ⁵ (we too being dead in offences,) has quickened us with the Christ, (ye are saved by grace,)

¹³ But we ought to give thanks to God always for you, brethren beloved of [the] Lord, that God has chosen you from [the] beginning to salvation in sanctification of [the] Spirit and belief of [the] truth: ¹⁴ whereto he has called you by our glad tidings, to [the] obtaining of [the] glory of our Lord Jesus Christ. ¹⁵ So then, brethren, stand firm, and hold fast the instructions which ye have been taught, whether by word or by our letter. ¹⁶ But our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and our God and Father, who has loved us, and given [us] eternal consolation and good hope by grace,

⁹ who has saved us, and has called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to [his] own purpose and grace, which [was] given to us in Christ Jesus before [the] ages of time,

³ For we were once ourselves also without intelligence, disobedient, wandering in error, serving various lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, [and] hating one another. ⁴ But when the kindness and love to man of our Saviour God appeared, ⁵ not on the principle of works which [have been done] in righteousness which *we* had done, but according to his own mercy he saved us through [the] washing of regeneration and renewal of [the] Holy Spirit, ⁶ which he poured out on us richly through Jesus Christ our Saviour;

¹⁸ According to his own will begat he us by the word of truth, that we should be a certain first-fruits of *his* creatures.

³ Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who, according to his great mercy, has begotten us again to a living hope through [the] resurrection of Jesus Christ from among [the] dead,

¹⁹ *We* love because *he* has first loved us.
