¹⁶ And I will bring the blind by a way that they know not, in paths that they know not will I lead them; I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them.

¹⁴ For Jehovah will not cast off his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance;

¹⁵ That which is crooked cannot be made straight; and that which is wanting cannot be numbered.

¹³ Consider the work of God; for who can make straight what he hath made crooked?

¹⁸ And in that day shall the deaf hear the words of the book, and, out of obscurity and out of darkness, the eyes of the blind shall see;

²⁴ And they that are of erring spirit shall know understanding, and the disobedient shall learn doctrine.

²¹ And when ye turn to the right hand or when ye turn to the left, thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it.

³ And the eyes of them that see shall not be dim, and the ears of them that hear shall hearken;

⁵ Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf be unstopped;

⁸ And a highway shall be there and a way, and it shall be called, The way of holiness: the unclean shall not pass through it; but it shall be for these. Those that go [this] way -- even fools, -- shall not err [therein].

⁴ Every valley shall be raised up, and every mountain and hill shall be brought low; and the crooked shall be made straight, and the rough places a plain.

³ He pursued them, he passed on in safety, by a way he had never come with his feet.

² I will go before thee, and make the elevated places plain; I will break in pieces the brazen doors, and cut asunder the bars of iron;

¹⁷ Thus saith Jehovah, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I [am] Jehovah thy God, who teacheth thee for [thy] profit, who leadeth thee in the way that thou shouldest go.

¹³ And all thy children [shall be] taught of Jehovah, and great shall be the peace of thy children.

¹ Arise, shine! for thy light is come, and the glory of Jehovah is risen upon thee. ² For behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the peoples; but Jehovah will arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen on thee.

¹⁹ The sun shall be no more thy light by day, neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee; but Jehovah shall be thine everlasting light, and thy God thy glory. ²⁰ Thy sun shall no more go down, neither shall thy moon withdraw itself; for Jehovah shall be thine everlasting light, and the days of thy mourning shall be ended.

⁸ Behold, I bring them from the north country, and gather them from the uttermost parts of the earth; [and] among them the blind and the lame, the woman with child and her that travaileth with child together: a great assemblage shall they return hither. ⁹ They shall come with weeping, and with supplications will I lead them; I will cause them to walk by water-brooks, in a straight way, wherein they shall not stumble; for I will be a father to Israel, and Ephraim is my firstborn.

³⁹ And I will give them one heart, and one way, that they may fear me all [their] days, for the good of them, and of their children after them. ⁴⁰ And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, that I will not draw back from them, to do them good; and I will put my fear in their heart, that they may not turn aside from me. ⁴¹ And I will rejoice over them to do them good, and I will assuredly plant them in this land with my whole heart and with my whole soul.

²³ And they shall comfort you, when ye see their way and their doings; and ye shall know that I have not done without cause all that I have done in it, saith the Lord Jehovah.

⁶ Therefore behold, I will hedge up thy way with thorns; and I will fence [her] in with a wall, that she shall not find her paths.

¹⁴ Therefore behold, I will allure her, and bring her into the wilderness, and speak to her heart.

⁷⁸ on account of [the] bowels of mercy of our God; wherein [the] dayspring from on high has visited us, ⁷⁹ to shine upon them who were sitting in darkness and in [the] shadow of death, to guide our feet into [the] way of peace.

⁵ Every gorge shall be filled up, and every mountain and hill shall be brought low, and the crooked [places] shall become a straight [path], and the rough places smooth ways,

⁸ but God commends *his* love to us, in that, we being still sinners, Christ has died for us. ⁹ Much rather therefore, having been now justified in [the power of] his blood, we shall be saved by him from wrath. ¹⁰ For if, being enemies, we have been reconciled to God through the death of his Son, much rather, having been reconciled, we shall be saved in [the power of] his life.

²⁹ Because whom he has foreknown, he has also predestinated [to be] conformed to the image of his Son, so that he should be [the] firstborn among many brethren. ³⁰ But whom he has predestinated, these also he has called; and whom he has called, these also he has justified; but whom he has justified, these also he has glorified. ³¹ What shall we then say to these things? If God [be] for us, who against us?

⁸ for ye were once darkness, but now light in [the] Lord; walk as children of light,

¹³ But we ought to give thanks to God always for you, brethren beloved of [the] Lord, that God has chosen you from [the] beginning to salvation in sanctification of [the] Spirit and belief of [the] truth: ¹⁴ whereto he has called you by our glad tidings, to [the] obtaining of [the] glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

⁵ [Let your] conversation [be] without love of money, satisfied with [your] present circumstances; for *he* has said, I will not leave thee, neither will I forsake thee.

³ Blessed [be] the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who, according to his great mercy, has begotten us again to a living hope through [the] resurrection of Jesus Christ from among [the] dead, ⁴ to an incorruptible and undefiled and unfading inheritance, reserved in [the] heavens for you, ⁵ who are kept guarded by [the] power of God through faith for salvation ready to be revealed in [the] last time.
