⁵ And now thus saith Jehovah of hosts: Consider your ways.

²³ And Pharaoh turned and went into his house, and took not this to heart either.

²¹ But he that did not regard the word of Jehovah left his bondmen and his cattle in the field.

¹³ Mark ye well her bulwarks, consider her palaces: that ye may tell it to the generation following.

⁴⁰ Let us search and try our ways, and turn again to Jehovah.

²⁸ Because he considereth, and turneth from all his transgressions which he hath committed, he shall certainly live, he shall not die.

⁴ And the man said unto me, Son of man, behold with thine eyes, and hear with thine ears, and set thy heart upon all that I shall shew thee; for in order that it might be shewn unto thee art thou brought hither. Declare to the house of Israel all that thou seest.

¹⁴ Then the king, when he heard these words, was sore distressed thereby, and set his heart on Daniel to save him; and he laboured till the going down of the sun to deliver him.

¹² And he said unto me, Fear not, Daniel; for from the first day that thou didst set thy heart to understand, and to humble thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come because of thy words.

⁷ Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: Consider your ways.

¹⁵ And now, I pray you, consider from this day and onward, from before a stone was laid upon a stone in the temple of Jehovah, ¹⁶ -- before those [days] were, when one came to a heap of twenty [measures], there were but ten; when one came to the vat to draw out fifty press-measures, there were but twenty. ¹⁷ I smote you with blasting and with mildew and with hail in all the work of your hands; and ye [turned] not to me, saith Jehovah. ¹⁸ Consider, I pray you, from this day and onward, from the four and twentieth day of the ninth [month], from the day that the foundation of Jehovah`s temple was laid, consider [it].

¹⁷ And coming to himself, he said, How many hired servants of my father`s have abundance of bread, and *I* perish here by famine.

⁵ examine your own selves if ye be in the faith; prove your own selves: do ye not recognise yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you, unless indeed ye be reprobates?

⁴ but let each prove his own work, and then he will have his boast in what belongs to himself alone, and not in what belongs to another.
