²⁰ and Noah, Daniel, and Job should be in it, [as] I live, saith the Lord Jehovah, they should deliver neither son nor daughter: they should [but] deliver their own souls by their righteousness.

¹⁹ He will deliver thee in six troubles, and in seven there shall no evil touch thee. ²⁰ In famine he will redeem thee from death, and in war from the power of the sword. ²¹ Thou shalt be hidden from the scourge of the tongue; and thou shalt not be afraid of destruction when it cometh. ²² At destruction and famine thou shalt laugh, and of the beasts of the earth thou shalt not be afraid. ²³ For thou shalt be in league with the stones of the field, and the beasts of the field shall be at peace with thee. ²⁴ And thou shalt know that thy tent is in peace; and thou wilt survey thy fold, and miss nothing.

¹⁸ Behold, the eye of Jehovah is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his loving-kindness, ¹⁹ To deliver their soul from death, and to keep them alive in famine.

¹⁰ Say ye of the righteous that it shall be well [with him], for they shall eat the fruit of their doings.

¹⁴ though these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, should be in it, they should deliver [but] their own souls by their righteousness, saith the Lord Jehovah.

¹⁶ -- though these three men should be in it, [as] I live, saith the Lord Jehovah, they should deliver neither sons nor daughters: they only should be delivered, and the land should be a desolation.

²⁰ The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son; the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.

²² None of his transgressions which he hath committed shall be remembered against him; in his righteousness which he hath done shall he live.

¹² Sow to yourselves in righteousness, reap according to mercy; break up your fallow ground: for it is time to seek Jehovah, till he come and rain righteousness upon you.

³ Seek Jehovah, all ye meek of the land, who have performed his ordinance; seek righteousness, seek meekness: it may be ye shall be hid in the day of Jehovah`s anger.

³⁵ but in every nation he that fears him and works righteousness is acceptable to him.

²⁹ If ye know that he is righteous, know that every one who practises righteousness is begotten of him.

⁷ Children, let no man lead you astray; he that practises righteousness is righteous, even as *he* is righteous.

¹⁰ In this are manifest the children of God and the children of the devil. Whoever does not practise righteousness is not of God, and he who does not love his brother.
