¹ And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince who standeth for the children of thy people; and there shall be a time of distress, such as never was since there was a nation until that time. And at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that is found written in the book. ² And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame, to everlasting contempt. ³ And they that are wise shall shine as the brightness of the expanse; and they that turn the many to righteousness as the stars, for ever and ever. ⁴ And thou, Daniel, close the words, and seal the book, till the time of the end. Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased. ⁵ And I Daniel looked, and behold, there stood other two, the one on this side, on the bank of the river, and the other on that side, on the bank of the river. ⁶ And he said to the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, How long [is it to] the end of these wonders? ⁷ And I heard the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river; and he held up his right hand and his left hand unto the heavens, and swore by him that liveth for ever that it is for a time, times, and a half; and when the scattering of the power of the holy people shall be accomplished, all these things shall be finished. ⁸ And I heard, but I understood not. And I said, My lord, what shall be the end of these things? ⁹ And he said, Go thy way, Daniel; for these words are closed and sealed till the time of the end. ¹⁰ Many shall be purified, and be made white, and be refined; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand. ¹¹ And from the time that the continual [sacrifice] is taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, [there shall be] a thousand, two hundred, and ninety days. ¹² Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and thirty-five days! ¹³ But do thou go thy way until the end; and thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days.

³² And now, if thou wilt forgive their sin ... but if not, blot me, I pray thee, out of thy book that thou hast written. ³³ And Jehovah said to Moses, Whoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book.

⁶ For a holy people art thou unto Jehovah thy God: Jehovah thy God hath chosen thee to be unto him a people for a possession, above all the peoples that are upon the face of the earth.

¹⁹ so that he should make thee high above all the nations which he hath made, in praise and in name and in honour; and that thou shouldest be a holy people to Jehovah thy God, as he hath said.

⁴⁰ For I lift up my hand to the heavens, and say, I live for ever!

¹³ As saith the proverb of the ancients, Wickedness proceedeth from the wicked; but my hand shall not be upon thee.

²⁵ And [as for] me, I know that my Redeemer liveth, and the Last, he shall stand upon the earth; ²⁶ And [if] after my skin this shall be destroyed, yet from out of my flesh shall I see +God; ²⁷ Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another: -- my reins are consumed within me.

² [As] ?God liveth, who hath taken away my right, and the Almighty, who hath embittered my soul,

⁵ Therefore the wicked shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous.

⁵ Jehovah is the portion of mine inheritance and of my cup: thou maintainest my lot.

⁷ Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean; wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.

⁸ *Thou* countest my wanderings; put my tears into thy bottle: are they not in thy book?

²⁸ Let them be blotted out of the book of life, and not be written with the righteous.

⁹ We see not our signs; there is no more any prophet, neither is there among us any that knoweth how long.

⁴³ Whoso is wise, let him observe these things, and let them understand the loving-kindnesses of Jehovah.

⁵ He that is wise will hear, and will increase learning; and the intelligent will gain wise counsels:

¹ My son, if thou receivest my words, and layest up my commandments with thee, ² so that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom [and] thou apply thy heart to understanding; ³ yea, if thou criest after discernment [and] liftest up thy voice to understanding; ⁴ if thou seekest her as silver and searchest for her as for hidden treasures: ⁵ then shalt thou understand the fear of Jehovah, and find the knowledge of God.

¹⁸ But the path of the righteous is as the shining light, going on and brightening until the day be fully come.

³⁰ The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and the wise winneth souls.

¹⁸ Come now, let us reason together, saith Jehovah: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.

³ And it shall come to pass that he who remaineth in Zion, and he that is left in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, -- every one that is written among the living in Jerusalem;

¹⁶ Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples.

⁷ Of the increase of his government and of peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David and over his kingdom, to establish it, and to uphold it with judgment and with righteousness, from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of Jehovah of hosts will perform this.

⁹ They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my holy mountain; for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of Jehovah, as the waters cover the sea.

¹¹ And it shall come to pass in that day, [that] the Lord shall set his hand again the second time to acquire the remnant of his people which shall be left, from Assyria, and from Egypt, and from Pathros, and from Cush, and from Elam, and from Shinar, and from Hamath, and from the islands of the sea. ¹² And he shall lift up a banner to the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Israel, and gather together the dispersed of Judah from the four corners of the earth. ¹³ And the envy of Ephraim shall depart, and the troublers of Judah shall be cut off; Ephraim will not envy Judah, and Judah will not trouble Ephraim: ¹⁴ but they shall fly upon the shoulder of the Philistines towards the west; together shall they spoil the sons of the east; they shall lay their hand upon Edom and Moab, and the children of Ammon shall obey them. ¹⁵ And Jehovah will utterly destroy the tongue of the Egyptian sea; and with his mighty wind will he shake his hand over the river, and will smite it into seven streams, and make [men] go over dryshod. ¹⁶ And there shall be a highway for the remnant of his people which will be left, from Assyria; like as it was to Israel in the day when he went up out of the land of Egypt.

¹⁹ Thy dead shall live, my dead bodies shall arise. Awake and sing in triumph, ye that dwell in dust; for thy dew is the dew of the morning, and the earth shall cast forth the dead. ²⁰ Come, my people, enter into thy chambers, and shut thy doors about thee; hide thyself just for a little moment, until the indignation be past. ²¹ For behold, Jehovah cometh out of his place to visit the iniquity of the inhabitants of the earth upon them; and the earth shall disclose her blood, and shall no more cover her slain.

¹² And it shall come to pass in that day, that Jehovah shall beat out from the flood of the river unto the torrent of Egypt, and ye shall be gathered one by one, [ye] children of Israel. ¹³ And it shall come to pass in that day, [that] the great trumpet shall be blown; and they shall come that were perishing in the land of Assyria, and the outcasts in the land of Egypt, and they shall worship Jehovah in the holy mountain at Jerusalem.

¹¹ And the whole vision is become unto you as the words of a book that is sealed, which they give to one that can read, saying, Read this, I pray thee; and he saith, I cannot, for it is sealed.

¹⁸ And in that day shall the deaf hear the words of the book, and, out of obscurity and out of darkness, the eyes of the blind shall see; ¹⁹ and the meek shall increase their joy in Jehovah, and the needy among men shall rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.

¹⁸ And therefore will Jehovah wait, that he may be gracious unto you, and therefore will he lift himself up, that he may have mercy upon you; for Jehovah is a God of judgment: blessed are all they that wait for him.

²⁶ And the light of the moon shall be as the light of the sun, and the light of the sun shall be sevenfold, as the light of seven days, in the day that Jehovah bindeth up the breach of his people, and healeth the wound of their stroke.

³ And the eyes of them that see shall not be dim, and the ears of them that hear shall hearken;

⁶ for the vile man will speak villainy, and his heart will work iniquity, to practise hypocrisy, and to utter error against Jehovah, to make empty the soul of the hungry, and to cause the drink of the thirsty to fail. ⁷ The instruments also of the churl are evil: he deviseth wicked devices to destroy the meek with lying words, even when the needy speaketh right.

¹ The righteous perisheth, and no man layeth it to heart; and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from before the evil. ² He entereth into peace: they rest in their beds, [each one] that hath walked in his uprightness.

¹² And they shall call them, The holy people, The redeemed of Jehovah; and thou shalt be called, The sought out, The city not forsaken.

²⁴ And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorrence unto all flesh.

² -- and thou shalt in truth, in justice, and in righteousness swear, [As] Jehovah liveth! and the nations shall bless themselves in him, and in him shall they glory.

¹¹ But Jehovah is with me as a mighty terrible one; therefore my persecutors shall stumble and shall not prevail; they shall be greatly ashamed, for they have not prospered: it shall be an everlasting confusion that shall not be forgotten.

²² But if they had stood in my council, and had caused my people to hear my words, then would they have turned them from their evil way and from the wickedness of their doings.

⁷ Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob`s trouble; but he shall be saved out of it.

² And behold, six men came from the way of the upper gate, which is turned toward the north, and every man [with] his slaughter weapon in his hand; and in the midst of them, one man clothed with linen, with a writer`s ink-horn by his side; and they went in, and stood beside the brazen altar.

⁹ And my hand shall be against the prophets that see vanity and that divine lies: they shall not be in the council of my people, neither shall they be written in the register of the house of Israel, and they shall not enter into the land of Israel: and ye shall know that I [am] the Lord Jehovah.

²⁴ And I Jehovah will be their God, and my servant David a prince in their midst: I Jehovah have spoken [it].

²⁵ And I will sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your uncleannesses and from all your idols will I cleanse you.

¹ The hand of Jehovah was upon me, and Jehovah carried me out in the Spirit, and set me down in the midst of a valley; and it was full of bones. ² And he caused me to pass by them round about; and behold, there were very many in the open valley; and behold, they were very dry. ³ And he said unto me, Son of man, Shall these bones live? And I said, Lord Jehovah, thou knowest. ⁴ And he said unto me, Prophesy over these bones, and say unto them, Ye dry bones, hear the word of Jehovah.

¹² Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, O my people, and bring you into the land of Israel.

²¹ And say unto them, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Behold, I will take the children of Israel from among the nations, whither they are gone, and will gather them from every side, and bring them into their own land: ²² and I will make them one nation in the land upon the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king to them all: and they shall be no more two nations, neither shall they be divided into two kingdoms any more at all. ²³ And they shall not defile themselves any more with their idols, or with their detestable things, or with any of their transgressions; and I will save them out of all their dwelling-places wherein they have sinned, and will cleanse them; and they shall be my people, and I will be their God. ²⁴ And David my servant shall be king over them; and they all shall have one shepherd: and they shall walk in mine ordinances, and keep my statutes, and do them. ²⁵ And they shall dwell in the land that I have given unto Jacob my servant, wherein your fathers have dwelt; and they shall dwell therein, they, and their children, and their children`s children for ever: and David my servant shall be their prince for ever. ²⁶ And I will make a covenant of peace with them: it shall be an everlasting covenant with them; and I will place them, and multiply them, and will set my sanctuary in the midst of them for ever. ²⁷ And my tabernacle shall be over them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. ²⁸ And the nations shall know that I Jehovah do hallow Israel, when my sanctuary shall be in the midst of them for ever.

²⁵ Therefore, thus saith the Lord Jehovah: Now will I bring again the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy upon the whole house of Israel, and will be jealous for my holy name: ²⁶ and they shall bear their confusion, and all their unfaithfulness in which they have acted unfaithfully against me, when they shall dwell safely in their land, and none shall make them afraid; ²⁷ when I have brought them again from the peoples, and gathered them out of their enemies` lands, and am hallowed in them in the sight of many nations. ²⁸ And they shall know that I [am] Jehovah their God, in that I caused them to be led into captivity among the nations, and have gathered them unto their own land, and have left none of them any more there. ²⁹ And I will not hide my face any more from them, for I shall have poured out my Spirit upon the house of Israel, saith the Lord Jehovah.

³⁴ And at the end of the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up mine eyes unto the heavens, and mine understanding returned unto me, and I blessed the Most High, and I praised and honoured him that liveth for ever, whose dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom is from generation to generation.

²⁵ And he shall speak words against the Most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most high [places], and think to change seasons and the law; and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and a half time.

²⁵ Know therefore and understand: From the going forth of the word to restore and to build Jerusalem unto Messiah, the Prince, are seven weeks, and sixty-two weeks. The street and the moat shall be built again, even in troublous times. ²⁶ And after the sixty-two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, and shall have nothing; and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with an overflow, and unto the end, war, -- the desolations determined. ²⁷ And he shall confirm a covenant with the many [for] one week; and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and because of the protection of abominations [there shall be] a desolator, even until that the consumption and what is determined shall be poured out upon the desolate.

¹ In the third year of Cyrus king of Persia a thing was revealed unto Daniel, whose name was called Belteshazzar; and the thing is true, but the appointed time of trial is long; and he understood the thing, and had understanding of the vision.

⁴ And on the four-and-twentieth day of the first month, I was by the side of the great river, which is Hiddekel: ⁵ and I lifted up mine eyes and looked, and behold, a certain man clothed in linen, and his loins were girded with pure gold of Uphaz; ⁶ and his body was like a chrysolite, and his face as the appearance of lightning, and his eyes as torches of fire, and his arms and his feet as the look of burnished brass, and the voice of his words like the voice of a multitude.

¹⁰ And behold, a hand touched me, which set me upon my knees and the palms of my hands.

¹³ But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me one and twenty days; and behold, Michael, one of the chief princes, came to help me; and I remained there with the kings of Persia. ¹⁴ And I am come to make thee understand what shall befall thy people at the end of the days: for the vision is yet for [many] days.

¹⁶ And behold, one after the likeness of the sons of men touched my lips; and I opened my mouth and spoke, and said unto him that stood before me, My lord, by reason of the vision my pains are turned upon me, and I retain no strength.

²¹ However, I will declare unto thee that which is set down in the scripture of truth; and there is not one that sheweth himself strong with me against these, but Michael your prince.

¹³ For the king of the north shall return, and shall set forth a multitude greater than the former; and shall certainly come at the end of the times of years with a great army and with much substance.

³¹ And forces shall stand on his part, and they shall profane the sanctuary, the fortress, and shall take away the continual [sacrifice], and they shall place the abomination that maketh desolate.

³³ And they that are wise among the people shall instruct the many; and they shall fall by the sword, and by flame, by captivity, and by spoil, [many] days.

³⁵ And [some] of the wise shall fall, to try them, and to purge and to make them white, to the time of the end: for it shall yet be for the time appointed.

⁴⁰ And at the time of the end shall the king of the south push at him; and the king of the north shall come against him like a whirlwind, with chariots, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he shall enter into the countries, and overflow and pass through.

¹⁴ I will ransom them from the power of Sheol. I will redeem them from death: where, O death, are thy plagues? where, O Sheol, is thy destruction? Repentance shall be hid from mine eyes.

⁹ Who is wise, and he shall understand these things? intelligent, and he shall know them? For the ways of Jehovah are right, and the just shall walk in them; but the transgressors shall fall therein.

¹⁶ And Jehovah will roar from Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: and Jehovah will be a shelter for his people, and the refuge of the children of Israel. ¹⁷ And ye shall know that I, Jehovah, [am] your God, dwelling in Zion, my holy mountain; and Jerusalem shall be holy, and no strangers shall pass through her any more. ¹⁸ And it shall come to pass in that day, that the mountains shall drop down new wine, and the hills shall flow with milk, and all the water-courses of Judah shall flow with waters; and a fountain shall come forth from the house of Jehovah, and shall water the valley of Shittim. ¹⁹ Egypt shall be a desolation, and Edom shall be a desolate wilderness, for the violence against the children of Judah, in that they have shed innocent blood in their land. ²⁰ But Judah shall abide for ever, and Jerusalem from generation to generation. ²¹ And I will purge them from the blood from which I had not purged them: for Jehovah dwelleth in Zion.

¹¹ In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David which is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up its ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old: ¹² that they may possess the remnant of Edom, and all the nations upon whom my name is called, saith Jehovah who doeth this. ¹³ Behold, the days come, saith Jehovah, when the ploughman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that soweth seed; and the mountains shall drop new wine, and all the hills shall melt. ¹⁴ And I will turn again the captivity of my people Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof; and they shall make gardens, and eat the fruit of them. ¹⁵ And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be plucked up out of their land which I have given them, saith Jehovah thy God.

¹⁷ But upon mount Zion shall there be deliverance, and it shall be holy; and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions. ¹⁸ And the house of Jacob shall be a fire, and the house of Joseph a flame, and the house of Esau for stubble; and they shall kindle in them and devour them; and there shall not be any remaining of the house of Esau: for Jehovah hath spoken [it]. ¹⁹ And [they of] the south shall possess the mount of Esau; and they of the lowland the Philistines; yea, they shall possess the field of Ephraim and the field of Samaria; and Benjamin [shall possess] Gilead; ²⁰ and the captives of this host of the children of Israel [shall possess] what belonged to the Canaanites, unto Zarephath; and the captives of Jerusalem, who [were] in Sepharad, shall possess the cities of the south. ²¹ And saviours shall come up on mount Zion, to judge the mount of Esau; and the kingdom shall be Jehovah`s.

¹² And the angel of Jehovah answered and said, Jehovah of hosts, how long wilt thou not have mercy on Jerusalem and on the cities of Judah, against which thou hast had indignation these seventy years? ¹³ And Jehovah answered the angel that talked with me good words, comforting words.

⁷ Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: If thou wilt walk in my ways, and if thou wilt keep my charge, then thou shalt also judge my house, and shalt also keep my courts; and I will give thee a place to walk among these that stand by.

³ And it shall come to pass in that day [that] I will make Jerusalem a burdensome stone unto all peoples: all that burden themselves with it shall certainly be wounded, and all the nations of the earth shall be assembled together against it. ⁴ In that day, saith Jehovah, I will smite every horse with astonishment, and his rider with madness; but I will open mine eyes upon the house of Judah, and will smite every horse of the peoples with blindness. ⁵ And the leaders of Judah shall say in their heart, The inhabitants of Jerusalem shall be my strength through Jehovah of hosts their God. ⁶ In that day will I make the leaders of Judah like a hearth of fire among wood, and like a torch of fire in a sheaf; and they shall devour all the peoples round about, on the right hand and on the left; and Jerusalem shall dwell again in her own place, in Jerusalem. ⁷ And Jehovah shall save the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem be not magnified over Judah. ⁸ In that day will Jehovah defend the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and he that stumbleth among them at that day shall be as David; and the house of David as God, as the Angel of Jehovah before them. ⁹ And it shall come to pass in that day, [that] I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem. ¹⁰ And I will pour upon the house of David and upon the inhabitants of Jerusalem the spirit of grace and of supplications; and they shall look on me whom they pierced, and they shall mourn for him, as one mourneth for an only [son], and shall be in bitterness for him, as one that is in bitterness for [his] firstborn.

⁹ And I will bring the third part into the fire, and will refine them as silver is refined, and will try them as gold is tried. They shall call on my name, and I will answer them: I will say, It is my people; and they shall say, Jehovah is my God.

⁶ And it shall come to pass in that day, [that] there shall not be light; the shining shall be obscured. ⁷ And it shall be one day which is known to Jehovah, not day, and not night; and it shall come to pass, at eventide it shall be light. ⁸ And it shall come to pass in that day [that] living waters shall go out from Jerusalem; half of them toward the eastern sea, and half of them toward the hinder sea: in summer and in winter shall it be. ⁹ And Jehovah shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one Jehovah, and his name one. ¹⁰ All the land from Geba to Rimmon south of Jerusalem shall be turned as the Arabah; and [Jerusalem] shall be lifted up, and shall dwell in her own place, from Benjamin`s gate unto the place of the first gate, unto the corner-gate, and from the tower of Hananeel unto the king`s winepresses.

⁴³ Then the righteous shall shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He that has ears, let him hear.

²⁸ And Jesus said to them, Verily I say unto you, That *ye* who have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit down upon his throne of glory, *ye* also shall sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel.

²⁹ And Jesus answering said to them, Ye err, not knowing the scriptures nor the power of God. ³⁰ For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are as angels of God in heaven. ³¹ But concerning the resurrection of the dead, have ye not read what was spoken to you by God, saying, ³² *I* am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? God is not God of [the] dead, but of [the] living.

¹⁴ And these glad tidings of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole habitable earth, for a witness to all the nations, and then shall come the end. ¹⁵ When therefore ye shall see the abomination of desolation, which is spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in [what is a] holy place, (he that reads let him understand,)

²¹ for then shall there be great tribulation, such as has not been from [the] beginning of [the] world until now, nor ever shall be;

⁴⁵ Who then is the faithful and prudent bondman whom his lord has set over his household, to give them food in season?

⁴⁶ And these shall go away into eternal punishment, and the righteous into life eternal.

¹¹ And he said to them, To you is given [to know] the mystery of the kingdom of God; but to them who are without, all things are done in parables,

¹⁴ But when ye shall see the abomination of desolation standing where it should not, (he that reads let him consider [it],) then let those in Judaea flee to the mountains;

¹⁹ for those days shall be distress such as there has not been the like since [the] beginning of creation which God created, until now, and never shall be;

¹⁶ And many of the sons of Israel shall he turn to [the] Lord their God. ¹⁷ And *he* shall go before him in [the] spirit and power of Elias, to turn hearts of fathers to children, and disobedient ones to [the] thoughts of just [men], to make ready for [the] Lord a prepared people.

²⁹ Lord, now thou lettest thy bondman go, according to thy word, in peace; ³⁰ for mine eyes have seen thy salvation,

³⁴ And they understood nothing of these things. And this word was hidden from them, and they did not know what was said.

¹⁴ Settle therefore in your hearts not to meditate beforehand [your] defence,

²³ But woe to them that are with child and to them who give suck in those days, for there shall be great distress upon the land and wrath upon this people. ²⁴ And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and be led captive into all the nations; and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of [the] nations until [the] times of [the] nations be fulfilled.

³⁶ He that reaps receives wages and gathers fruit unto life eternal, that both he that sows and he that reaps may rejoice together.

²⁸ Wonder not at this, for an hour is coming in which all who are in the tombs shall hear his voice, ²⁹ and shall go forth; those that have practised good, to resurrection of life, and those that have done evil, to resurrection of judgment.

³⁵ *He* was the burning and shining lamp, and ye were willing for a season to rejoice in his light.

¹⁷ If any one desire to practise his will, he shall know concerning the doctrine, whether it is of God, or [that] I speak from myself.

⁴⁷ He that is of God hears the words of God: therefore ye hear [them] not, because ye are not of God.

¹⁶ [Now] his disciples knew not these things at the first; but when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things were written of him, and that they had done these things to him.

³⁷ Pilate therefore said to him, Thou art then a king? Jesus answered, Thou sayest [it], that I am a king. I have been born for this, and for this I have come into the world, that I might bear witness to the truth. Every one that is of the truth hears my voice.

⁷ And he said to them, It is not yours to know times or seasons, which the Father has placed in his own authority;

¹ Now there were in Antioch, in the assembly which was [there], prophets and teachers: Barnabas, and Simeon who was called Niger, and Lucius the Cyrenian, and Manaen, foster-brother of Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.

¹⁵ having hope towards God, which they themselves also receive, that there is to be a resurrection both of just and unjust.

²¹ Or has not the potter authority over the clay, out of the same lump to make one vessel to honour, and another to dishonour?

¹⁸ But I say, Have they not heard? Yea, surely, Their voice has gone out into all the earth, and their words to the extremities of the habitable world.

⁵ Thus, then, in the present time also there has been a remnant according to election of grace. ⁶ But if by grace, no longer of works: since [otherwise] grace is no more grace.

⁸ according as it is written, God has given to them a spirit of slumber, eyes not to see, and ears not to hear, unto this day. ⁹ And David says, Let their table be for a snare, and for a gin, and for a fall-trap, and for a recompense to them: ¹⁰ let their eyes be darkened not to see, and bow down their back alway.

¹⁵ For if their casting away [be the] world`s reconciliation, what [their] reception but life from among [the] dead?

²⁶ and so all Israel shall be saved. According as it is written, The deliverer shall come out of Zion; he shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob.

¹⁰ but God has revealed to us by [his] Spirit; for the Spirit searches all things, even the depths of God. ¹¹ For who of men hath known the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? thus also the things of God knows no one except the Spirit of God. ¹² But *we* have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which [is] of God, that we may know the things which have been freely given to us of God: ¹³ which also we speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Spirit, communicating spiritual [things] by spiritual [means]. ¹⁴ But [the] natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him; and he cannot know [them] because they are spiritually discerned; ¹⁵ but the spiritual discerns all things, and *he* is discerned of no one. ¹⁶ For who has known the mind of [the] Lord, who shall instruct him? But *we* have the mind of Christ.

¹⁰ According to the grace of God which has been given to me, as a wise architect, I have laid the foundation, but another builds upon it. But let each see how he builds upon it.

¹¹ And these things were some of you; but ye have been washed, but ye have been sanctified, but ye have been justified in the name of the Lord Jesus, and by the Spirit of our God.

²⁰ (But now Christ is raised from among [the] dead, first-fruits of those fallen asleep. ²¹ For since by man [came] death, by man also resurrection of [those that are] dead. ²² For as in the Adam all die, thus also in the Christ all shall be made alive.

⁴⁰ And [there are] heavenly bodies, and earthly bodies: but different is the glory of the heavenly, different that of the earthly: ⁴¹ one [the] sun`s glory, and another [the] moon`s glory, and another [the] stars` glory; for star differs from star in glory. ⁴² Thus also [is] the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption, it is raised in incorruptibility.

⁵¹ Behold, I tell you a mystery: We shall not all fall asleep, but we shall all be changed, ⁵² in an instant, in [the] twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and *we* shall be changed. ⁵³ For this corruptible must needs put on incorruptibility, and this mortal put on immortality. ⁵⁴ But when this corruptible shall have put on incorruptibility, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall come to pass the word written: Death has been swallowed up in victory.

¹ For we know that if our earthly tabernacle house be destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens.

¹ Having therefore these promises, beloved, let us purify ourselves from every pollution of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in God`s fear.

²¹ above every principality, and authority, and power, and dominion, and every name named, not only in this age, but also in that to come;

¹⁰ in order that now to the principalities and authorities in the heavenlies might be made known through the assembly the all-various wisdom of God,

¹¹ and *he* has given some apostles, and some prophets, and some evangelists, and some shepherds and teachers,

¹⁶ holding forth [the] word of life, so as to be a boast for me in Christ`s day, that I have not run in vain nor laboured in vain. ¹⁷ But if also I am poured out as a libation on the sacrifice and ministration of your faith, I rejoice, and rejoice in common with you all.

³ yea, I ask thee also, true yokefellow, assist them, who have contended along with me in the glad tidings, with Clement also, and my other fellow-labourers, whose names [are] in [the] book of life.

¹⁹ For what [is] our hope, or joy, or crown of boasting? [are] not *ye* also before our Lord Jesus at his coming? ²⁰ for ye are our glory and joy.

¹⁴ For if we believe that Jesus has died and has risen again, so also God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep through Jesus.

⁷ and to you that are troubled repose with us, at the revelation of the Lord Jesus from heaven, with [the] angels of his power,

¹⁰ and in all deceit of unrighteousness to them that perish, because they have not received the love of the truth that they might be saved. ¹¹ And for this reason God sends to them a working of error, that they should believe what is false, ¹² that all might be judged who have not believed the truth, but have found pleasure in unrighteousness.

⁷ I have combated the good combat, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. ⁸ Henceforth the crown of righteousness is laid up for me, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will render to me in that day; but not only to me, but also to all who love his appearing.

¹⁴ who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all lawlessness, and purify to himself a peculiar people, zealous for good works.

¹² For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have again need that [one] should teach you what [are] the elements of the beginning of the oracles of God, and are become such as have need of milk, [and] not of solid food.

¹⁰ For they indeed chastened for a few days, as seemed good to them; but he for profit, in order to the partaking of his holiness.

¹⁹ My brethren, if any one among you err from the truth, and one bring him back, ²⁰ let him know that he that brings back a sinner from [the] error of his way shall save a soul from death and shall cover a multitude of sins.

⁷ that the proving of your faith, much more precious than of gold which perishes, though it be proved by fire, be found to praise and glory and honour in [the] revelation of Jesus Christ:

¹¹ searching what, or what manner of time, the Spirit of Christ which [was] in them pointed out, testifying before of the sufferings which [belonged] to Christ, and the glories after these. ¹² To whom it was revealed, that not to themselves but to you they ministered those things, which have now been announced to you by those who have declared to you the glad tidings by [the] Holy Spirit, sent from heaven, which angels desire to look into.

²² Having purified your souls by obedience to the truth to unfeigned brotherly love, love one another out of a pure heart fervently;

⁹ But *ye* [are] a chosen race, a kingly priesthood, a holy nation, a people for a possession, that ye might set forth the excellencies of him who has called you out of darkness to his wonderful light;

¹⁵ and account the longsuffering of our Lord [to be] salvation; according as our beloved brother Paul also has written to you according to the wisdom given to him,

²⁰ And we know that the Son of God has come, and has given us an understanding that we should know him that [is] true; and we are in him that [is] true, in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life.

⁹ But Michael the archangel, when disputing with the devil he reasoned about the body of Moses, did not dare to bring a railing judgment against [him], but said, [The] Lord rebuke thee.

¹⁴ And Enoch, [the] seventh from Adam, prophesied also as to these, saying, Behold, [the] Lord has come amidst his holy myriads, ¹⁵ to execute judgment against all; and to convict all the ungodly of them of all their works of ungodliness, which they have wrought ungodlily, and of all the hard [things] which ungodly sinners have spoken against him.

⁵ and from Jesus Christ, the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us, and has washed us from our sins in his blood,

⁵ He that overcomes, *he* shall be clothed in white garments, and I will not blot his name out of the book of life, and will confess his name before my Father and before his angels.

¹⁸ I counsel thee to buy of me gold purified by fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white garments, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness may not be made manifest; and eye-salve to anoint thine eyes, that thou mayest see.

¹⁰ and they cried with a loud voice, saying, How long, O sovereign Ruler, holy and true, dost thou not judge and avenge our blood on them that dwell upon the earth?

And he said to me, These are they who come out of the great tribulation, and have washed their robes, and have made them white in the blood of the Lamb.

And the remnant were filled with fear, and gave glory to the God of the heaven. ¹⁴ The second woe has passed; behold, the third woe comes quickly. ¹⁵ And the seventh angel sounded [his] trumpet: and there were great voices in the heaven, saying, The kingdom of the world of our Lord and of his Christ is come, and he shall reign to the ages of ages.

⁶ And I saw another angel flying in mid-heaven, having [the] everlasting glad tidings to announce to those settled on the earth, and to every nation and tribe and tongue and people, ⁷ saying with a loud voice, Fear God and give him glory, for the hour of his judgment has come; and do homage to him who has made the heaven and the earth and the sea and fountains of waters.

¹⁴ These shall make war with the Lamb, and the Lamb shall overcome them; for he is Lord of lords and King of kings: and they [that are] with him called, and chosen, and faithful.

⁴ And I saw thrones; and they sat upon them, and judgment was given to them; and the souls of those beheaded on account of the testimony of Jesus, and on account of the word of God; and those who had not done homage to the beast nor to his image, and had not received the mark on their forehead and hand; and they lived and reigned with the Christ a thousand years:

¹² And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened; and another book was opened, which is [that] of life. And the dead were judged out of the things written in the books according to their works.

¹⁵ And if any one was not found written in the book of life, he was cast into the lake of fire.

¹⁰ And he says to me, Seal not the words of the prophecy of this book. The time is near. ¹¹ Let him that does unrighteously do unrighteously still; and let the filthy make himself filthy still; and let him that is righteous practise righteousness still; and he that is holy, let him be sanctified still.
