²⁰ Children, obey your parents in all things, for this is well-pleasing in [the] Lord.

⁷ and [that] Jacob had obeyed his father and his mother, and was gone to Padan-Aram.

¹² Honour thy father and thy mother, that thy days may be prolonged in the land that Jehovah thy God giveth thee.

³ Ye shall reverence every man his mother, and his father, and my sabbaths shall ye keep: I am Jehovah your God.

¹⁸ If a man have an unmanageable and rebellious son, who hearkeneth not unto the voice of his father, nor unto the voice of his mother, and they have chastened him, but he hearkeneth not unto them; ¹⁹ then shall his father and his mother lay hold on him, and bring him out unto the elders of his city, and unto the gate of his place; ²⁰ and they shall say unto the elders of his city, This our son is unmanageable and rebellious, he hearkeneth not unto our voice; he is a profligate and a drunkard. ²¹ And all the men of his city shall stone him with stones, that he die. And thou shalt put evil away from thy midst; and all Israel shall hear and fear.

¹⁶ Cursed be he that slighteth his father or his mother! And all the people shall say, Amen.

²⁰ My son, observe thy father`s commandment, and forsake not the teaching of thy mother;

²⁰ Whoso curseth his father or his mother, his lamp shall be put out in the blackest darkness.

¹¹ There is a generation that curseth their father, and doth not bless their mother;

¹⁷ The eye that mocketh at a father, and despiseth to obey a mother, the ravens of the valley shall pick it out, and the young eagles shall eat it.

⁷ In thee have they made light of father and mother; in the midst of thee have they dealt by oppression with the stranger; in thee have they vexed the fatherless and the widow.

⁶ A son honoureth [his] father, and a servant his master: if then I be a father, where is mine honour? and if I be a master, where is my fear? saith Jehovah of hosts unto you, priests, that despise my name. But ye say, Wherein have we despised thy name?

⁴ For God commanded saying, Honour father and mother; and, He that speaks ill of father or mother, let him die the death. ⁵ But *ye* say, Whosoever shall say to his father or mother, It is a gift, whatsoever [it be] by which [received] from me thou wouldest be profited: ⁶ and he shall in no wise honour his father or his mother; and ye have made void the commandment of God on account of your traditional teaching.

²⁴ But even as the assembly is subjected to the Christ, so also wives to their own husbands in everything.

¹⁸ But I have all things in full supply and abound; I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things [sent] from you, an odour of sweet savour, an acceptable sacrifice, agreeable to God.

¹⁰ [so as] to walk worthily of the Lord unto all well-pleasing, bearing fruit in every good work, and growing by the true knowledge of God;

²² Bondmen, obey in all things your masters according to flesh; not with eye-services, as men-pleasers, but in simplicity of heart, fearing the Lord.

⁹ bondmen to be subject to their own masters, to make themselves acceptable in everything; not gainsaying;

²¹ perfect you in every good work to the doing of his will, doing in you what is pleasing before him through Jesus Christ; to whom [be] glory for the ages of ages. Amen.
