²² And now, behold, bound in my spirit *I* go to Jerusalem, not knowing what things shall happen to me in it;

⁵¹ And it came to pass when the days of his receiving up were fulfilled, that *he* stedfastly set his face to go to Jerusalem.

⁵⁰ But I have a baptism to be baptised with, and how am I straitened until it shall have been accomplished!

³¹ And he took the twelve to [him] and said to them, Behold, we go up to Jerusalem, and all things that are written of the Son of man by the prophets shall be accomplished; ³² for he shall be delivered up to the nations, and shall be mocked, and insulted, and spit upon. ³³ And when they have scourged [him] they will kill him; and on the third day he will rise again.

¹ Now before the feast of the passover, Jesus, knowing that his hour had come that he should depart out of this world to the Father, having loved his own who were in the world, loved them to the end.

⁴ Jesus therefore, knowing all things that were coming upon him, went forth and said to them, Whom seek ye?

¹⁶ But in Athens, while Paul was waiting for them, his spirit was painfully excited in him seeing the city given up to idolatry.

²¹ And when these things were fulfilled, Paul purposed in his spirit to go to Jerusalem, passing through Macedonia and Achaia, saying, After I have been there I must see Rome also.

¹⁶ for Paul thought it desirable to sail by Ephesus, so that he might not be made to spend time in Asia; for he hastened, if it was possible for him, to be the day of Pentecost at Jerusalem.

¹¹ and coming to us and taking the girdle of Paul, and having bound his own hands and feet, said, Thus saith the Holy Spirit, The man whose this girdle is shall the Jews thus bind in Jerusalem, and deliver him up into the hands of [the] Gentiles. ¹² And when we heard these things, both we and those of the place besought [him] not to go up to Jerusalem. ¹³ But Paul answered, What do ye, weeping and breaking my heart? for *I* am ready not only to be bound, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus. ¹⁴ And when he would not be persuaded, we were silent, saying, The will of the Lord be done.

¹⁴ For the love of the Christ constrains us, having judged this: that one died for all, then all have died;

¹⁴ ye who do not know what will be on the morrow, ([for] what [is] your life? It is even a vapour, appearing for a little while, and then disappearing,)

¹⁴ knowing that the putting off of my tabernacle is speedily [to take place], as also our Lord Jesus Christ has manifested to me;
