¹⁵ But they that conducted Paul brought him as far as Athens; and, having received a commandment to Silas and Timotheus, that they should come to him as quickly as possible, they departed.

³ They therefore, having been set on their way by the assembly, passed through Phoenicia and Samaria, relating the conversion of [those of] the nations. And they caused great joy to all the brethren.

¹⁶ But in Athens, while Paul was waiting for them, his spirit was painfully excited in him seeing the city given up to idolatry.

²¹ Now all [the] Athenians and the strangers sojourning there spent their time in nothing else than to tell and to hear the news.

¹ And after these things, having left Athens, he came to Corinth;

⁵ And when both Silas and Timotheus came down from Macedonia, Paul was pressed in respect of the word, testifying to the Jews that Jesus was the Christ.

¹ Wherefore, being no longer able to refrain ourselves, we thought good to be left alone in Athens,

¹⁰ for Demas has forsaken me, having loved the present age, and is gone to Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus to Dalmatia. ¹¹ Luke alone is with me. Take Mark, and bring [him] with thyself, for he is serviceable to me for ministry.

²⁰ Erastus remained in Corinth, but Trophimus I left behind in Miletus sick. ²¹ Use diligence to come before winter. Eubulus salutes thee, and Pudens, and Linus, and Claudia, and the brethren all.

¹² When I shall send Artemas to thee, or Tychicus, use diligence to come to me to Nicopolis; for I have decided to winter there.
