² We give thanks to God always for you all, making mention of you at our prayers,

⁸ First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is proclaimed in the whole world. ⁹ For God is my witness, whom I serve in my spirit in the glad tidings of his Son, how unceasingly I make mention of you,

¹⁷ But thanks [be] to God, that ye were bondmen of sin, but have obeyed from the heart the form of teaching into which ye were instructed.

⁴ I thank my God always about you, in respect of the grace of God given to you in Christ Jesus;

¹⁵ Wherefore *I* also, having heard of the faith in the Lord Jesus which [is] in you, and the love which [ye have] towards all the saints, ¹⁶ do not cease giving thanks for you, making mention [of you] at my prayers,

³ I thank my God for my whole remembrance of you, ⁴ constantly in my every supplication, making the supplication for you all with joy,
