⁵ Then the Pharises and scrybes axed him: Why walke not thy disciples after the tradicions of the elders, but eate bred with vnwasshen handes?

² Why do thy disciples transgresse ye tradicions of the elders? for they wash not their hodes whan they eate bred.

¹⁶ And whan the scrybes and Pharises sawe that he ate with publicans & synners, they sayde vnto his disciples: Why doth he eate and dryncke with ye publicans and synners? ¹⁷ Whan Iesus herde that, he sayde vnto the: The whole nede not ye Phisician, but they that are sycke. I am not come to call the righteous, but the synners to repetaunce. ¹⁸ And the disciples of Ihon and of ye Pharises fasted. And there came certaine, which sayde vnto him: Why fast the disciples of Ihon, and of ye Pharises, and thy disciples fast not?

² And wha they sawe certayne of his disciples eate bred with comon (that is, with vnwashen) handes, they complayned. ³ For the Pharises & all the Iewes eate not, excepte they wash their handes oft tymes: obseruynge so the tradicions of the elders.

²¹ But they are enfourmed agaynst the, that thou teachest all the Iewes which are amoge the Heythe, to forsake Moses, and sayest that they oughte not to circumcyse their children, ner to walke after the same custome.

²⁴ take them vnto ye, and purifye thyselfe with them, and do the cost on them, that they maye shaue their heades: and they shal knowe, that it is nothinge, wherof they are enfourmed agaynst the, but that thou also walkest and kepest the lawe.

¹² & that he might be a father of circumcision, not onely of the that are of ye circumcision, but of them also that walke in the fotesteppes of the faith, which was in the vncircumcision of oure father Abraham.

¹⁴ and preuayled in the Ieweshippe aboue many of my companyons in my nacion, & was a moch more feruent manteyner of the tradicions of the fathers.

⁶ But we requyre you brethren, in the name of oure LORDE Iesus Christ, that ye withdrawe youre selues from euery brother that walketh inordinatly, and not after the institucion which he receaued of vs.

¹¹ For we heare saye, that there are some which walke amonge you inordinatly, and worke not at all, but are busy bodies.
