¹ And he sayde vnto Moses: Come vp vnto the LORDE thou & Aaron, Nadab and Abihu, and the seuetie elders of Israel, & worshipe afarre of.

⁹ Then wente Moses & Aaron, Nadab & Abihu, & the seuentye elders of Israel vp,

⁹ & put the albes vpon them, and gyrde both Aaron & them with gyrdles, & set the bonettes vpon their heades, that they maye haue the presthode for a perpetuall custome. And thou shalt fyll the hades of Aaron and his sonnes,

² Then wente there out a fyre from ye LORDE, and consumed them, so that they dyed before the LORDE.

¹² And Moses sayde vnto Aaron, and vnto Eleasar and Ithamar his sonnes that were left: Take the remnaunt of the meatofferynge in the sacrifices of ye LORDE, and eate it without leuen besyde the altare, for it is most holy,

⁴ But Nadab & Abihu dyed before ye LORDE, wha they offred strauge fyre before ye LORDE, in ye wildernesse of Sinai, & had no sonnes. But Eleasar and Ithamar executed ye prestes office wt their father Aaron.

³⁹ And Eleasar the prest toke ye brasen censers which they yt were burnt, had offred, & bet the to plates, to fasten the vpon ye altare ⁴⁰ for a remebraunce vnto ye children of Israel yt no straunger (and he that is not of ye sede of Aaron) come nye to offre incense before the LORDE, yt it happe not vnto him as vnto Corah and his companye, acordynge as the LORDE sayde vnto him by Moses.

⁷ As for ye, and yi sonnes with the, ye shal waite vpon youre prestes office, that ye maye ministre in all maner busynes of the altare, and within the vayle: for yor prestes office geue I vnto you for a gifte to do seruyce. Yf a straunger come nye, he shall dye.
