¹⁴ Later he appeared to the eleven as they sat at the table; and he rebuked them for their unbelief and hardness of heart, because they did not believe those who had seen him after he had risen.

Do you not remember the five loaves of the five thousand, and how many baskets you gathered? ¹⁰ Or the seven loaves of the four thousand, and how many baskets you gathered? ¹¹ How is it that you do not understand that I did not speak to you about bread? ²⁰ So he said to them, "Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you."

¹⁸ So he said to them, "Are you also without understanding? Do you not see that whatever enters a man from outside cannot defile him,

¹⁷ Being aware of it, Jesus said to them, "Why do you discuss the fact that you have no bread? Do you not yet perceive or understand? Are your hearts hardened? ¹⁸ Having eyes do you not see, and having ears do you not hear? And do you not remember?

¹¹ And when they heard that he was alive and had been seen by her, they did not believe it. ¹² After this he appeared in another form to two of them, as they were walking into the country. ¹³ And they went and told it to the rest, but they did not believe them either.

²⁵ And he said to them, "O foolish men, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken!

³⁶ As they were saying this, Jesus himself stood among them and said to them, "Peace be with you." ³⁷ But they were startled and frightened, and supposed that they saw a spirit. ³⁸ And he said to them, "Why are you troubled, and why do doubts rise in your hearts? ³⁹ See my hands and my feet, that it is I myself. Handle me and see, for a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see I have." ⁴⁰ When he had said this, he showed them his hands and his feet. ⁴¹ And while they still did not believe for joy, and marveled, he said to them, "Have you anything here to eat?" ⁴² They gave him a piece of broiled fish, ⁴³ and he took it and ate in their presence.

¹⁹ On the evening of that day, the first day of the week, the doors being shut where the disciples were, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood among them and said to them, "Peace be with you." ²⁰ When he had said this, he showed them his hands and his side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord.

²⁷ Then he said to Thomas, "Put your finger here, and see my hands. Reach out your hand, and put it into my side; do not be unbelieving, but believing."

⁵ and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve.

⁷ Therefore, as the Holy Spirit says: "Today, if you will hear his voice, ⁸ do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion, on the day of testing in the wilderness,

¹⁵ while it is said, "Today, if you will hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as in the rebellion." ¹⁶ Who were they who heard and rebelled? Were they not all those Moses led out of Egypt? ¹⁷ And with whom was he angry for forty years? Was it not with those who sinned, whose bodies fell in the wilderness? ¹⁸ And to whom did he swear that they would never enter his rest, but to those who were disobedient? ¹⁹ So we see that they were not able to enter because of unbelief.

¹⁹ Those whom I love, I rebuke and chasten. So be zealous and repent.
