⁴⁴ But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you,

¹² And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.

¹⁴ For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. ¹⁵ But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

²¹ Then Peter came to him and said, "Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?" ²² Jesus said to him, "I do not say to you seven times, but seventy times seven.

³⁵ So also my heavenly Father will do to each of you, if you do not forgive your brother from your heart."

²⁰ No, "if your enemy is hungry, feed him; if he is thirsty, give him drink; for in so doing you will heap burning coals on his head."

⁴ Love is patient, love is kind. It is not jealous or boastful, it is not arrogant ⁵ or rude, it does not seek its own, it is not provoked, it keeps no record of wrongs, ⁶ it does not rejoice in evil, but rejoices with the truth. ⁷ Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

³¹ Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. ³² Be kind and tenderhearted to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.

¹² So, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, put on a heart of compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience; ¹³ bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord forgave you, so you also must forgive.

¹³ But as for you, brethren, do not grow weary of doing good. ¹⁴ If anyone does not obey our instruction in this letter, take special note of that person and do not associate with him, so that he may be ashamed.
