⁴ Carry no purse, no bag, no sandals; and greet no one on the road.

⁹ Take no gold, nor silver, nor copper in your belts, ¹⁰ nor bag for your journey, nor two tunics, nor sandals, nor a staff; for the worker is worthy of his food. ¹¹ Now whatever village or town you enter, inquire who in it is worthy, and stay there until you go out. ¹² As you enter the house, give it your greeting. ¹³ And if the house is worthy, let your peace come upon it; but if it is not worthy, let your peace return to you. ¹⁴ And if any one will not receive you or listen to your words, shake off the dust from your feet when you leave that house or town.

⁸ He commanded them to take nothing for the journey except a staffno bag, no bread, no money in their belts ⁹ but to wear sandals and not put on two tunics. ¹⁰ And he said to them, "Where you enter a house, stay there until you leave that place. ¹¹ And if any place will not receive you and they refuse to hear you, when you leave, shake off the dust that is on your feet for a testimony against them."

³ And he said to them, "Take nothing for the journey, no staff, nor bag, nor bread, nor money; and do not have two tunics. ⁴ Whatever house you enter, stay there, and from there depart. ⁵ And wherever they do not receive you, when you leave that town, shake off the dust from your feet as a testimony against them." ⁶ So they departed and went through the towns, preaching the gospel and healing everywhere.

⁵⁹ To another he said, "Follow me." But he said, "Lord, let me first go and bury my father." ⁶⁰ Jesus said to him, "Let the dead bury their own dead, but you go and proclaim the kingdom of God."

Do not go from house to house. ⁸ Whenever you enter a town and they receive you, eat what is set before you. ⁹ Heal the sick there and say to them, 'The kingdom of God has come near to you.' ¹⁰ But whenever you enter a town and they do not receive you, go into its streets and say, ¹¹ 'Even the dust of your town that clings to our feet, we wipe off against you. Nevertheless know this, that the kingdom of God has come near.' ¹² I tell you, it will be more tolerable on that day for Sodom than for that town.

³⁵ And he said to them, "When I sent you out with no purse or bag or sandals, did you lack anything?" They said, "Nothing."
