²⁵ At that time Jesus declared, "I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent and have revealed them to babes.

¹⁹ For in those days there will be tribulation, such as has not been from the beginning of the creation which God created until now, and never will be.

¹ In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. ² He was with God in the beginning. ³ All things were made through him, and without him nothing was made that was made.

²⁴ And when they heard this, they lifted their voices to God together and said, "Sovereign Lord, it is you who made the heaven and the earth and the sea, and everything in them,

¹⁵ "Men, why are you doing this? We also are men, of like nature with you, and bring you good news, that you should turn from these vain things to a living God who made the heaven and the earth and the sea and all that is in them.

²⁴ The God who made the world and everything in it, since he is Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in temples made by hands;

¹⁹ for what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has shown it to them. ²⁰ For since the creation of the world his invisible nature, even his eternal power and deity, has been clearly seen, being understood by the things that have been made. So they are without excuse;

³⁶ For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be glory forever. Amen.

⁶ yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom are all things and for whom we exist; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and through whom we exist.

⁹ and to make plain to everyone the administration of the mystery which for ages has been hidden in God who created all things;

¹⁶ For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authoritiesall things were created through him and for him. ¹⁷ He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.

² but in these last days he has spoken to us by his Son, whom he appointed heir of all things, and through whom also he made the world.

¹⁰ And, "You, Lord, in the beginning laid the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands;

⁴ For every house is built by someone, but the builder of all things is God.

³ By faith we understand that the world was created by the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things which are visible.

⁵ They deliberately ignore this fact, that by the word of God heavens existed long ago, and the earth was formed out of water and by means of water,

¹ That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have touched, concerning the Word of life,

¹⁴ "And to the angel of the church in Laodicea write: 'These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of God's creation:

¹¹ "You are worthy, our Lord and our God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created."

⁶ and swore by him who lives for ever and ever, who created heaven and the things in it, the earth and the things in it, and the sea and the things in it, that there will be no more delay,

⁷ and he said with a loud voice, "Fear God, and give him glory, because the hour of his judgment has come; worship him who made the heaven and the earth and sea and springs of water."

⁶ Then he said to me, "It is done. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give to the one who is thirsty from the spring of the water of life without cost.

¹³ I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end."

³ Then Jesus put out his hand and touched him, saying, "I am willing; be clean." Immediately his leprosy was cleansed.

⁵ The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.

⁹ The true light that gives light to every man was coming into the world.

¹⁹ And this is the judgment, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

⁴³ When he had said this, he cried with a loud voice, "Lazarus, come out!"

⁶ For it is the God who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," who has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.

⁸ for once you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord; walk as children of light

¹⁴ For this reason it is said, "Awake, O sleeper, and arise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you."

¹⁶ who alone has immortality and dwells in unapproachable light, whom no man has ever seen or can see. To him be honor and eternal dominion. Amen.

⁵ This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you, that God is light and in him is no darkness at all.

⁸ Yet I am writing you a new commandment, which is true in him and in you, because the darkness is passing away and the true light is already shining.

¹³ each man's work will become evident; for the day will show it, because it is to be revealed with fire, and the fire itself will test the quality of each man's work.

¹³ But all things become visible when they are exposed by the light, for everything that becomes visible is light.

⁵ For you are all sons of light and sons of the day; we are not of the night or of darkness.

²⁷ And the men marveled, saying, "What sort of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him?"

¹⁰ Even now the ax is laid at the root of the trees, and every tree therefore that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.

³⁰ Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?

¹⁶ You will know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes from thorn bushes, or figs from thistles? ¹⁷ Even so, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit. ¹⁸ A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. ¹⁹ Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. ²⁰ Thus you will know them by their fruits.

²⁸ All by itself the earth produces grainfirst the blade, then the head, then the full kernel in the head.

⁴³ "For no good tree bears bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit. ⁴⁴ For each tree is known by its own fruit. For men do not gather figs from thorns, nor do they pick grapes from a bramble bush.

⁷ For land which drinks the rain that often falls upon it, and brings forth vegetation useful to those for whose sake it is cultivated, receives a blessing from God.

¹² Can a fig tree, my brethren, produce olives, or a grapevine produce figs? Nor can salt water produce fresh.

²⁴ Another parable he put forth to them, saying: "The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; ²⁵ but while men were sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away. ²⁶ So when the plants sprouted and bore grain, then the weeds appeared also.

⁴⁴ For each tree is known by its own fruit. For men do not gather figs from thorns, nor do they pick grapes from a bramble bush.

¹⁰ Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will multiply the harvest of your righteousness.

⁷ Do not be deceived; God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.

² saying, "Where is he who has been born king of the Jews? For we have seen his star in the East and have come to worship him."

² He answered them, "When it is evening, you say, 'It will be fair weather; for the sky is red.' ³ And in the morning, 'It will be stormy today, for the sky is red and threatening.' You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times.

²⁹ "Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.

²⁴ "But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light;

²⁵ "There will be signs in sun and moon and stars, and on the earth distress of nations in perplexity at the roaring of the sea and the waves, ²⁶ men fainting from fear and foreboding of what is coming on the world, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.

⁴⁵ And Jesus, crying out with a loud voice, said, "Father, into your hands I commit my spirit." And having said this, he breathed his last.

¹⁹ And I will show wonders in heaven above and signs on the earth below, blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke. ²⁰ The sun will be turned into darkness and the moon into blood, before the great and glorious day of the Lord shall come.

¹² I looked when he opened the sixth seal, and there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth made of hair, and the whole moon became like blood;

¹² The fourth angel sounded his trumpet, and a third of the sun was struck, a third of the moon, and a third of the stars, so that a third of them darkened. And a third of the day was without light, and also a third of the night.

² He opened the bottomless pit, and smoke went up from the pit, like the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by the smoke from the pit.

⁴⁵ Now from the sixth hour until the ninth hour there was darkness over all the land.

⁴¹ There is one glory of the sun, and another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for star differs from star in glory.

⁸ The fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and it was given to it to scorch men with fire. ⁹ Men were scorched by the fierce heat, and they cursed the name of God who had power over these plagues, and they did not repent and give him glory.

²³ And the city has no need of the sun or of the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and its lamp is the Lamb.

⁴⁷ For so the Lord has commanded us: 'I have made you a light for the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.'"

²⁵ nor is he served by human hands, as though he needed anything, since he himself gives to all men life and breath and everything.

⁴⁰ For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, so the Son of Man will be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

¹⁷ But Jesus answered them, "My Father is working still, and I am working."

²³ Jesus answered him, "If anyone loves me, he will keep my word, and my Father will love him, and we will come to him and make our home with him.

²⁰ For you are bringing some strange things to our ears; so we want to know what these things mean."

²⁶ And he made from one man every nation of men to live on all the face of the earth, having determined their appointed times and the boundaries of their habitation,

²⁸ 'For in him we live and move and have our being,' as even some of your own poets have said, 'We are his offspring.' ²⁹ Being then God's offspring, we ought not to think that the Divine Nature is like gold or silver or stone, an image formed by the art and imagination of man.

⁷ For a man ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God; but the woman is the glory of man.

¹⁸ And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into his likeness from one degree of glory to another, for this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.

⁴ In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, so that they might not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

²⁴ and put on the new nature, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.

¹⁵ He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.

¹⁰ and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator.

⁶ But there is a place where someone has testified, "What is man that you are mindful of him, or the son of man that you care for him? ⁷ You made him for a little while lower than the angels; you crowned him with glory and honor, ⁸ and put everything in subjection under his feet." Now in putting everything in subjection to him, he left nothing that is not subject to him. As it is, we do not yet see everything subject to him. ⁹ But we see Jesus, who for a little while was made lower than the angels, crowned with glory and honor because of the suffering of death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone.

⁷ For every species of beasts and birds, of reptiles and creatures of the sea, is tamed and has been tamed by the human race.

⁹ With it we bless our Lord and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the likeness of God.

⁷ And it is the Spirit who bears witness, because the Spirit is the truth.

⁴ And he answered them, "Have you not read that he who made them at the beginning 'made them male and female,'

⁶ But from the beginning of creation God 'made them male and female.'

⁷ For a man ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of God; but the woman is the glory of man. ⁸ For man does not originate from woman, but woman from man; ⁹ neither was man created for woman, but woman for man.

¹⁰ For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we would walk in them.

²⁶ the mystery that has been kept hidden for ages and generations, but is now disclosed to the saints.

³ who forbid marriage and advocate abstaining from foods which God created to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth.

¹¹ Give us this day our daily bread.

²⁵ "Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing? ²⁶ Look at the birds of the air: they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?

¹⁷ yet he did not leave himself without witness, in that he did good and gave you rains from heaven and fruitful seasons, satisfying your hearts with food and gladness."

²⁴ The God who made the world and everything in it, since he is Lord of heaven and earth, does not live in temples made by hands; ²⁵ nor is he served by human hands, as though he needed anything, since he himself gives to all men life and breath and everything.

²⁸ 'For in him we live and move and have our being,' as even some of your own poets have said, 'We are his offspring.'

¹⁷ Instruct those who are rich in this present world not to be conceited or to fix their hope on the uncertainty of riches, but on God, who richly supplies us with everything to enjoy.

⁴ For everything created by God is good, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving;
