¹³ And it shall come to be, just as you came to be a slight among the nations, house of Judah and house of Israel, so I will save you, and you will become a blessing. You must not fear! Your hands shall be steadfast!"

² And make you will I into a great nation, and bless you will I and make your name great, and become must you a blessing. ³ And bless those will I who bless you, and those making light of you will I curse. And blessed in you and in your seed are all the families of the ground.

⁴ And increase will I your seed as the stars of the heavens, and give will I to your seed all these lands. And blessed, in your seed, are all the nations of the earth,

³⁷ You will become an object of astonishment, a proverb and a byword among all the peoples where Yahweh shall lead you.

²³ its whole land a burnt waste of sulfur and salt; it shall not be sown, neither shall it sprout, nor shall any herbage ascend in it, like the overturning of Sodom and Gomorrah, Admah and Zeboiim, which Yahweh overturned in His anger and in His fury-. ²⁴ hence all the nations will ask:Why did Yahweh do thus to this land? Why the heat of this great anger? ²⁵ Then some will answer:Because they forsook the covenant of Yahweh Elohim of their fathers, that He had contracted with them when He brought them forth from the country of Egypt, ²⁶ for they went off and served other elohim and bowed themselves down to them, elohim whom they had neither known, nor had He apportioned for them. ²⁷ Hence the anger of Yahweh grew hot against that land so as to bring upon it all the malediction that is written in this scroll. ²⁸ So Yahweh plucked them up off their ground in anger, in fury and in great wrath, and He flung them into another country as it is this day.

¹¹ All the people in the gate and the elders replied, We are witnesses! And the elders said, May Yahweh grant to the woman who is coming to your house to be like Rachel and like Leah, both of whom built up the house of Israel! Perform ably in Ephrathah, and proclaim a name in Bethlehem!" ¹² May your house become like the house of Perez whom Thamar bore for Judah, from the seed which Yahweh shall give to you from this maiden.

⁷ then I have cut off Israel from the face of the ground that I have given to them, and the house that I have hallowed for My name I send away from My presence, and Israel has been for a simile and for a byword among all the peoples;" ⁸ as to this house, [that] is high, every one passing by it is astonished, and has hissed, and they have said, Wherefore has Yahweh done thus to this land and to this house?

¹⁸ That Yahweh shows himself very angry against Israel, and turns them aside from His presence; none has been left, only the tribe of Judah by itself. ¹⁹ Also Judah has not kept the commands of Yahweh their Elohim, and they walk in the statutes of Israel that they had made. ²⁰ And Yahweh kicks against all the seed of Israel, and afflicts them, and gives them into the hand of spoilers, till that He has cast them out of His presence,

²⁰ and this house that I have sanctified for My name, I cast from before My face, and make it for a proverb, and for a byword, among all the peoples. ²¹ `And this house that has been high, to every one passing by it, is an astonishment, and he has said, Wherefore has Yahweh done thus to this land, and to this house? ²² and they have said, Because that they have forsaken Yahweh, Elohim of their fathers, who brought them out from the land of Egypt, and lay hold on other elohims, and bow themselves to them, and serve them, therefore He has brought upon them all this evil..

¹³ You constitute us a reproach to our neighbors, A derision and a scoffing to those round about us." ¹⁴ You constitute us a proverbial byword among the nations, A shaking of the head among the national groups."

¹⁶ Because of the voice of the reproacher and taunter, Because of the face of the enemy and avenger."

¹⁷ His Name shall remain for the eon; Before the sun shall His Name be propagated, And all nations shall bless themselves in Him and call Him happy."

⁴ We have become a reproach to our neighbors, A derision and a scoffing to those round about us."

²⁰ And he will sever on the right, yet is famishing, and he will eat on the left, yet is not satisfied. A man will eat the flesh of his arm." ²¹ Manasseh will eat Ephraim and Ephraim Manasseh, and together they will dine on Judah. And in all this His anger does not reverse, and his hand is outstretched still!"

²⁴ In that day Israel shall become third to Egypt and to Assyria. They shall be a blessing within the earth, ²⁵ who are blessed by Yahweh of hosts, who says, "Blessed be My people, Egypt, and the making of My hands, Assyria, and My allotment, Israel."

³ Make steadfast the hands that are slack, and the faltering knees make resolute." ⁴ Say to the hasty of heart:"Be steadfast! You must not fear! Behold! Your Elohim with vengeance shall come, and with the requital of Elohim shall He come and save you."

¹⁰ You must not fear, for I am with you, and you must not take heed for yourself, for I am your Elohim. I make you resolute; indeed, I help you. Indeed, I uphold you with the right hand of My righteousness.'" ¹¹ Behold! Ashamed and confounded shall all be who were hot with you. They are coming to be as nothing. And perish shall all mortals who contend with you. ¹² You shall seek them, yet shall not find them. And the mortals with whom you strive shall come to be as nothing, and a limit is reached by the mortals who war with you." ¹³ For I, Yahweh, your Elohim, am holding fast your right hand, saying to you, `You must not fear; I, I help you." ¹⁴ You must not fear, worm Jacob, and death-doomed of Israel, I, I help you,'averring is Yahweh, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel." ¹⁵ Behold! I constitute you a new spiked threshing sledge possessing serrated edges. You shall thresh the mountains and pulverize them, and the hills you shall make as trash." ¹⁶ You will winnow them, and the wind will carry them away. And the tempest will scatter them. And you shall exult in Yahweh. And in the Holy One of Israel shall you boast."

¹⁵ And you leave your name for an oath to My chosen.And you are put to death by my Lord Yahweh; yet He shall call His servants by another name." ¹⁶ The one blessing himself in the land, shall bless himself by the Elohim of truth, and the one swearing in the land, shall swear by the Elohim of truth. "For forgotten are the former distresses, for they are concealed also from My eyes."

⁹ And I have given them for a trembling, For evil--to all kingdoms of the earth, For a reproach, and for a simile, For a byword, and for a reviling, In all the places whither I drive them."

¹⁸ Jerusalem, and the cities of Judah, And its kings, its heads, To give them to waste, to astonishment, To hissing, and to reviling, as [at] this day."

⁶ Then I have given up this house as Shiloh, and this city I give up for a reviling to all nations of the earth.'"

¹⁸ And I have pursued after them with sword, with famine, and with pestilence, and have given them for a trembling to all kingdoms of the earth, for a curse and for an astonishment, and for a hissing, and for a reproach among all the nations whither I have driven them,

³⁰ For the sons of Israel and the sons of Judah have been only doing evil in Mine eyes, from their youth; for the sons of Israel are only provoking Me with the work of their hands--an affirmation of Yahweh." ³¹ `For a cause of Mine anger, and a cause of My fury, has this city been to Me, even from the day that they built it, and unto this day--to turn it aside from before My face, ³² Because of all the evil of the sons of Israel, and of the sons of Judah that they have done, so as to provoke Me--they, their kings, their heads, their priests, and their prophets, and the men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem."

²⁴ `Have you not considered what this people have spoken, saying:The two families on which Yahweh fixed, He does reject them, And my people they despise--So that they are no more a people before them!"

¹⁸ for thus said Yahweh of Hosts, Elohim of Israel:As poured out has been Mine anger and My fury on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, so poured out is My fury upon you in your entering Egypt, and you have been for an execration, and for an astonishment, and for a reviling, and for a reproach, and you do not see any more this place."

¹² and I have taken the remnant of Judah, who have set their faces to enter the land of Egypt to sojourn there, and they have all been consumed in the land of Egypt; they fall by sword, by famine they are consumed, from the least even unto the greatest, by sword and by famine they die, and they have been for an execration, for an astonishment, and for a reviling, and for a reproach."

²² And Yahweh is not able any more to accept [you], because of the evil of your doings, because of the abominations that you have done, and your land is for a waste, and for an astonishment, and for a reviling, without inhabitant, as [at] this day."

¹⁵ They slap their palms at you, all who pass your way; They hiss and jerk their head to and fro at the daughter of Jerusalem:Is this the city which they call the consummation of loveliness, the elation of the entire earth? ¹⁶ They open their mouth wide at you, all your enemies; They hiss and gnash their teeth; they say, We have swallowed them up! Yea, this is the day that we expected; we have come upon it and have seen it!"

¹⁵ Go away! unclean! they call out to them; go away! go away! do not touch! Because they wander forth and rove about, men say among the nations:They shall not continue to sojourn here."

¹⁵ And it has been a reproach and a reviling, An instruction and an astonishment, To nations that [are] round about you, In My doing in you judgments, In anger and fury, and in furious reproofs, I, Yahweh, have spoken."

¹¹ And He said unto me, `Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel; lo, they are saying:Dried up have our bones, And perished has our hope, We have been cut off by ourselves."

¹⁶ `And you, son of man, take to you one stick, and write on it, For Judah, and for the sons of Israel, his companions; and take another stick, and write on it, For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and all the house of Israel, his companions, <sup>17</sup> and bring them near one unto another, to you, for one stick, and they have become one in your hand." <sup>18</sup> `And when sons of your people speak unto you, saying, Do you not declare to us what these [are] to you? ¹⁹ Speak unto them, Thus said the Lord Yahweh:Lo, I am taking the stick of Joseph, that [is] in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his companions, and have given them unto him, with the stick of Judah, and have made them become one stick, and they have been one in My hand."

¹¹ All Israel--they trespass against Thy law to withdraw so as not to hearken to Thy voice. Hence pouring forth on us is the imprecation and the oath which is written in the law of Moses, the servant of Elohim; for we sin against Him."

⁷ And the remnant of Jacob shall come to be among the nations, within many peoples, as the night mist from Yahweh, and as a shower on herbage, which is not expected by man, nor is awaited by the sons of humanity."

²⁰ At that season will I bring you in, even at the season of my convening you; for I will give you a name and a praise among all the peoples of the earth, in My reversal of your captivities before your eyes, says Yahweh."

¹⁹ Is the seed still in the underground hoard? And have the vine and the fig tree and the pomegranate and the olive tree still not borne? From this day will I bless.

¹⁹ And I am saying to the messenger who is speaking with me, What are these, my lord? And he is saying to me, These are the horns which winnowed Judah, Israel and Jerusalem."

⁹ Thus says Yahweh of hosts:Your hands shall be steadfast, you who are hearing these words in these days from the mouth of the prophets, who were in the day the house of Yahweh of hosts was founded, and the temple was to be built."

²⁰ Thus says Yahweh of hosts:Still it shall be that many peoples shall come, and the dwellers of many cities." ²¹ And the dwellers of five cities shall go to another city, saying, We are going assuredly to beseech the face of Yahweh, and to seek Yahweh of hosts; I am going, moreover." ²² And many peoples and staunch nations will come to seek Yahweh of hosts in Jerusalem, and to beseech the face of Yahweh." ²³ Thus says Yahweh of hosts:In those days ten mortals, from all the languages of the nations, will take fast hold. And they will take fast hold of the hem of a man, a Jew, saying, We will go with you, for we hear that Elohim is with you."

¹³ For I bend Judah for Myself; I fill the bow with Ephraim. And I will brandish your sons, O Zion, over your sons, O Javan, and make you as the sword of a master."

⁶ And I will give mastery to the house of Judah, and the house of Joseph will I save. And I will cause them to dwell, for I have compassion on them, and they shall come to be as if I had not cast them off; for I am Yahweh their Elohim, and I will respond to them." ⁷ And Ephraim shall become as a master, and their heart shall rejoice as from wine, and their sons shall see, and they shall rejoice. Their heart shall exult in Yahweh." ⁸ I shall hiss for them and convene them, for I ransom them, and they increase just as they have increased." ⁹ And I will sow them among the peoples, yet in the far places shall they remember Me. And they shall live with their sons and return."

¹³ Watch! Stand firm in the faith! Be manly! Be staunch!

¹⁴ that the blessing of Abraham may be coming to the nations in Christ Jesus, that we may be obtaining the promise of the spirit through faith."

²⁸ in Whom there is no Jew nor yet Greek, there is no slave nor yet free, there is no male and female, for you all are one in Christ Jesus." ²⁹ Now if you are Christ's, consequently you are of Abraham's seed, enjoyers of the allotment according to the promise."
