Zechariah 7:3 Cross References - CLV

³ to say to the priests who are in the house of Yahweh of hosts, and to the prophets, saying:Shall I lament in the fifth month, to be sequestered, just as I do this how many years?

⁹ And you will come to the priests, the Levites, and to the judge who shall come to be in those days; they will inquire and tell you the word of judgment. ¹⁰ Then you must act in accordance with the word that they shall tell you from that place that Yahweh your Elohim shall choose. You must observe to act according to all that they shall direct you. ¹¹ In accordance with the law by which they shall direct you and according to the judgment that they shall deliver to you, you shall act. You shall not withdraw from the word that they shall tell you, neither to the right nor left.

¹⁰ They shall direct Your judgments for Jacob, and Your law for Israel. They shall bring incense to Your nostrils and a holocaust on Your altar.

⁸ And in the fifth month, on the seventh of the month (it [is] the nineteenth year of king Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon), has Nebuzaradan chief of the executioners, servant of the king of Babylon, come to Jerusalem, ⁹ and he burns the house of Yahweh, and the house of the king, and all the houses of Jerusalem, yea, every great house he has burned with fire;"

⁹ And Nehemiah--he [is] the Tirshatha--said (and Ezra the priest, the scribe, and the Levites who are instructing the people) to all the people, `To-day is holy to Yahweh your Elohim, do not mourn, nor weep:' for all the people are weeping at their hearing the words of the law. <sup>10</sup> And he said to them, `Go, eat fat things, and drink sweet things, and sent portions to him for whom nothing is prepared, for to-day [is] holy to our Lord, and be not grieved, for the joy of Yahweh is your strength.. ¹¹ And the Levites are keeping all the people silent, saying, `Be silent, for to-day [is] holy, and be not grieved..

¹ And in the twenty and fourth day of this month have the sons of Israel been gathered, with fasting, and with sackcloth, and earth upon them;" ² and the seed of Israel are separated from all sons of a stranger, and stand and confess concerning their sins, and the iniquities of their fathers, ³ and rise up on their station, and read in the book of the law of Yahweh their Elohim a fourth of the day, and a fourth they are confessing and bowing themselves to Yahweh their Elohim.

⁴ A season to weep and a season to sport; A season to wail and a season to dance;

¹² And my Lord, Yahweh of hosts, will call for lamentation in that day, and for wailing, and for baldness, and for girding on sackcloth;" ¹³ yet behold! Elation will they make and rejoicing, killing an ox and slaying from the flock, eating flesh and drinking wine, saying, "Eat and drink, for tomorrow we will die."

¹² And in the fifth month, in the tenth of the month--it [is] the nineteenth year of king Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon--come has Nebuzar-Adan, chief of the executioners; he has stood before the king of Babylon in Jerusalem, ¹³ and he burns the house of Yahweh, and the house of the king, and all the houses of Jerusalem, even every great house he has burned with fire, ¹⁴ and all the walls of Jerusalem round about broken down have all the forces of the Chaldeans that [are] with the chief of the executioners.

²³ `And My people they direct between holy and common, and between unclean and clean they cause them to discern." ²⁴ And concerning controversy, they stand up for judgment; with My judgments they judge it; and My law and My statutes in all My appointed places they keep; and My sabbaths they sanctify."

⁶ My people shall be stilled because of failing knowledge, seeing that you reject knowledge. Then I am rejecting you from being a priest for Me, and as you are forgetting the law of your Elohim, I will forget your sons--even I."

¹⁷ Between the portico and the altar shall the priests lament. The ministers of Yahweh then shall say, Commiserate, Yahweh, over Your people, and You must not give Your allotment to reproach, that the nations rule among them. Why shall they say among the peoples, Where is their Elohim?

¹¹ Thus says Yahweh of hosts:Ask, I pray, the priests of the law, saying,

⁵ Say to all the people of the land, and to the priests, saying, When you fasted and wailed in the fifth and in the seventh months, even this seventy years--did you really fast to Me?

¹⁹ Thus says Yahweh of hosts:The fast of the fourth month, and the fast of the fifth, and the fast of the seventh, and the fast of the tenth, shall become to the house of Judah elation and rejoicing and good appointments, and you will exult. Hence love truth and peace!"

¹² And the land shall wail family by family alone, and their wives alone:The family of the house of David alone, and their wives alone; the family of the house of Nathan alone, and their wives alone;" ¹³ the family of the house of Levi alone, and their wives alone; the family of Shimei alone, and their wives alone;" ¹⁴ all the families that remain family by family alone, and their wives alone."

⁷ For the lips of a priest shall keep knowledge, and the law shall they seek from his mouth, for the messenger of Yahweh of hosts is he."

¹⁵ And Jesus said to them, "The sons of the bridal chamber can not be mourning, in as much as the bridegroom is with them. Yet coming will be the days whenever the bridegroom may be taken away from them, and then they will be fasting."

⁵ Do not deprive one another, except sometime it should be by agreement for a period, that you should gave leisure for prayer, and you may be the same again, lest Satan may be trying you because of your incontinence."

⁸ Draw near to God, and He will be drawing near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, double-souled!" ⁹ Be wretched and mourn and lament. Let your laughter be converted into mourning, and joy into dejection." ¹⁰ Be humbled, then, in the Lord's sight, and He shall be exalting you."
